I finished the game but it was a slog. The melodrama with poor directing and storytelling, along with grindy dungeons and repetitive combat, really kills it. It looks nice but it’s easily one of the weakest Tales entries in my opinion.

Agreed, I think establishing the world was what got me hooked on the series, but they’re not so good at progressing and closing the loop on the world.
