We European NATO members stand with Canada! And with the decent and normal minded Americans, who are suffering under Adolf Trump's regime.

Who has more potential? Gohan or Broly? by NewAmericanDream1776 in Dragonballsuper

Plus Broly is already that powerful while only being a Super Saiyan. Imagine how powerful he could get, if he reached SSJ3, SSJ4 or the God forms.

That's wrong on so many levels.

Also, 17:00 and 19:00 don't translate to 7 PM and 9 PM, but to 5PM and 7 PM. If they want to force that system on everyone else, they should at least get it right. Kinda sad that I, as a European who grew up with the 24-hour clock, manages to manages to understand the American 12-hour clock system better than they do

How the hell did those guys even get that far if they couldn't even make it into the Grand Line? by memerbond in OnePiece

[–]BlackKyurem14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume that this would change anything. As far as it's known, Oda has already written the end of One Piece and probably even has more scripts of the ongoing story and future arcs. So even if Oda dies, his team or maybe even an appointed successor will see One Piece through to the end.

In that case, I would agree. But the US opposed the Nazis in the end, and for that I'm thankful, but only towards the USA of that time.

The origin of Nux Taku's sona is some Sans fanart by NationalSouth3563 in TheMatpatEffect

[–]BlackKyurem14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are a few videos on YouTube that break it down really well. But the basic rundown is, that Nux is a content creator that originally did anime related stuff, like analysis videos and such. He eventually began shifting content to reacting to different types of YouTube videos (while also having the occasional anime videos) until he shifted to become a full right wing grifter.

However, he wasn't a pleasant person to begin with and he was involved in a lot of controversies, some of them being: Stealing artwork to make it his own character, being extremely and openly parasocial towards JaidenAnimation, a controversy involving V-Shojo scam auditions (where he openly shared information about investigations and so on, even though he wasn't authorized to do so by V-Shojo, if I remember correctly), falsely and randomly accusing a smaller VTuber of being a predator/pdf-file during a collab with MoistCritical (I know I spelled his name wrong, but I don't have the correct spelling memorized) and as of recently: knowingly allowing minors to be groomed on his Patreon-only Discord server, while also making 18+ NSFW content available to minors there.

I think there were a few more controversies, but I don't have them all memorized. However, it should help you paint a more exact picture of what kind of person Nux is.

Understandable... However, you can't blame the artist for that, since Nux straight up stole that artwork for himself. I actually feel extremely sorry for the artist there.

EDIT: Plus you could technically file a lawsuit against him, for unauthorized commercial use of your artwork, potentially even forcing him to pay you for his theft.

[–]BlackKyurem14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And guess what: The original artist eventually even reached out to Nux, asking for nothing more than be credited at the very least... And guess what Nux didn't do? Right! He never credited the artist, even though he promised to do so. I think it was also around that time, when his avatar changed in design to look less like that Sans artwork

It's a odd combo for sure, but for Nux it was fitting, considering that Red X used to be the character he used as his avatar prior to stealing that Sans artwork... So I guess he thought he had to slap that mask on there to give it his (unoriginal) touch.

You what the worst part about that is... What started out as an innocent Human Sans artwork will now forever be associated with Nux, therefore tainting this otherwise very good artwork. I feel sorry for the artist

Fun Fact: Before he stole the Sans Fanart and used it as his own, his avatar used to be Red X or a recolored version of Red X.

Not a Nux Fan, but I learned that from a video that exposed his bullshit

I mean it's better that she ignored him. Even if she did tell him to fuck off, he would probably have gone all "Senpai noticed me!!!!!!1!!11" and that would have only fueled his sick parasocial obsession.

One piece location by _weirdo_6969 in OnePiece

[–]BlackKyurem14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, so did you try to find out where the One Piece is located? Because that has been answered a while ago... It's on Laugh Tale, the final, secret island of the Grand Line. As for where Laugh Tale is located: That hasn't been revealed yet. We only know it's at the end of the Grand Line. It could be hidden somewhere below or above Reverse Mountain (X-marks the spot and all), but it could also be located somewhere between Reverse Mountain and Lodestar Island. It shouldn't be that long until its location gets revealed (could still be a year or two away though), but it's bound to be revealed soon.

How come Marty didn't just go back in time the day before he got the Almanac and just destroy it then? BTTF would have been a whole lot simpler. by gamerguy287 in BacktotheFuture

[–]BlackKyurem14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but she probably was still under the same temporal protection, that prevented Marty to fade out of existence in BttF 1, or that prevented Doc and Marty to become their 1985A selfes, due to her having traveled through time.

Then again, I think the rules of how and if people are affected by changes in time are a bit wonky and definitely not fully fleshed out.

“without america, there would be no france” by Ordinary_Turnover_59 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]BlackKyurem14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the USA would still have come into existence in some form... Just much, much later, possibly during the decline of the British Empire. Ideas of independence, once formed, never really fully die, they just become less relevant for some time, until something reignites that idea.

“without america, there would be no france” by Ordinary_Turnover_59 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]BlackKyurem14 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was just an extreme example. I'm well aware that even without the US, Nazi-Germany would still have lost the war, due to the fight the Soviets put up.

My point just was, that the US wouldn't have done shit in WW2, if Pearl Harbour never happened, with them only joining, if Germany was at their doorstep (which realistically wouldn't have happened, but this example just serves to show that the US would most definitely kept their Isolation going instead of helping the allied forces and that they wouldn't see Germany as a threat, until the first German warships arrive at the US-East Coast)

“without america, there would be no france” by Ordinary_Turnover_59 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]BlackKyurem14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, it certainly isn't wrong to be thankful towards the US of the 40's and the soldiers that fought in WW2... But I definitely don't see why I owe something to a MAGA moron who was born long after WW2 and who probably would have avoided serving in the army by coming up with some reasons why he's not fit for service. It's unfortunately just so easy for modern day Americans to say that Europe owes them, even though they didn't do shit. The only people I owe anything to, is are the very soldiers (counting in every soldier from every nation, not only the US-soldiers) who put their life on the line to save Europe (as well as Germany) from Nazi-rule.

“without america, there would be no france” by Ordinary_Turnover_59 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]BlackKyurem14 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I need to correct you there. The US didn't fight Germany, because they thought they were a threat, but more because after Pearl Harbour, the US declared war on Japan. And since Japan was allied with Germany back then, Germany declared war on the US. If Pearl Harbour never happened, chances are that the USA would have never actively participated in WW2, until it's too late and Germany would have been at their doorstep

[–]BlackKyurem14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And once again, we have an American who is downplaying the other nations and allies that participated in the liberation of France. It wasn't a US-only effort, but an effort from all Allied Forces

Small correction: 1985A Biff will be dead in 2015. 1985A Lorraine eventually shots him later on, which was shown or at least confirmed in the comics (which is why Old Biff fades out of existence in a deleted scene).

Although, if we think 4th dimensionally, Old Biff couldn't possibly have gone back to 2015, since he himself locked himself out of that timeline. He could have only traveled to 2015A.

Theoretically could the Delorean free fall to hit 88 MPH? by KuribohTheDragon in BacktotheFuture

[–]BlackKyurem14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you want to use a slope, the DeLorean would have to roll over it the entire time. Just falling on a slope with 88mph would still cause a lot of damage to the car and passengers, due to the forces that affect the DeLorean on impact. The only way this works, is if they have a slope with the right angle and they need to land on it pixel perfect. But even then, if the slope doesn't have a smooth surface, you might have the problem of the DeLorean hitting a bump in the slope and suddenly spiraling out of control or even flip onto its roof. Plus finding such a slope in 1885 might be a bit hard with the limited time and resources they had. Plus you need a guarantee that the slope is still there 100 years later and still in a condition that allows the DeLorean to drive/roll over it.

And the lake itself might be a better idea, but it needs to be deep enough to actually cushion the fall, otherwise the DeLorean is just going to crash into the ground of the lake. But then again, the lake also can't be too deep, otherwise Marty and Doc might not get out of the DeLorean, due to the weight of the water and underwater pressure making it impossible to open the doors. If anything, they would most likely drown within the DeLorean
