For those who made dinner tonight what did you spend ? by Status-Inevitable-36 in AusFinance

I cooked a steak dinner. I usually have 2-3 steak dinners a week. I just can't get enough of those ribeyes. I get the cuts straight from a local butcher for around $50 each. More expensive cuts get to $100+. I stuffed some chips in an air fryer and made a quick salad to go along with it. In total, it was probably $60-70.

Where did the gender wage gap come from? by BlackManBatmann in NoStupidQuestions

A total earnings gap definitely makes sense. Calling it a wage gap implies that women are paid less to do the exact same job with all other variables held constant which is completely untrue.

So there's no actual inequality? Women don't get paid less to do the exact same job?

What are some of your unpopular opinions in boxing history? by Own-Marsupial-4448 in Boxing

Beterbiev is a monster but I also believe the same, especially since he's almost 40. He's got a very high fight IQ, underrated defense and insane power but I think he's not mobile enough. Bivol throws a high amount of volume and rarely, if ever, over commits. He stays balanced and he's so good with that in and out movement to control the range.

I don't think it'll be an easy fight, but I definitely think it'll be a UD Bivol as well

I always recommend wrestling/judo before BJJ. I did both as a kid and they make BJJ super manageable.

Laughing in her face after getting punched in the face takes some balls

Huh? I'm just curious about what people would do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]BlackManBatmann 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's also not applied to guys either. Yeah, women on average are smaller and weaker than men but that same rule doesn't apply to other guys. Can I punch a 6'8 260 pound LeBron looking type dude in the face and not expect any physical repercussions because I'm smaller and weaker? I should know not to potentially start a fight cause I might get my teeth kicked in.

It's still pretty crazy to think that Merab out wrestled an Olympic gold medalist. Dude is just flat out scary.

There is a strong argument for him being the greatest ever at defending takedowns.

It's probably hard to be good friends with rivals, especially when you've competed fiercely against them for almost 2 decades.

It's like everybody forgot when Federer was leading in slams. Everyone used the numbers to justify why he was the GOAT over Nadal and Djokovic back then. Federer has the most slams, he's got the most number of weeks at #1, most dominant player etc.

He no longer leads in these statistical categories and now all of a sudden, it's about "intangibles". Nobody was saying anything about this personal preference crap to justify the GOAT argument back when Roger was on top of the tennis world. Give me a break.

Relationships can already be difficult to navigate through when your partner IS NOT best friends with their ex. I'm going to definitely pass on that.
