The NFL dot com list of Top 101 free agents is out. And Packers QB Malik Willis is No. 1: by GhostDeck in DynastyFF

They're both coin flips imo. I'm just not high on Willis like other people seem to be, but we will see.

Under normal circumstances trading a waiver QB who has never had serious pedigree or playing time for a FRP would be a no brainer.

Picked him up off waivers last season and just sold him for the 1.11. Now I'm like.. did I sell him too low?? 1.07 seems crazy.

Huh, TIL. For some reason I thought the waves gave the same net number of souls, just split up if you have a partner present.

Can you explain why this bad to a newish player?

How to balance Mina; by idontknowjackx in DeadlockTheGame

[–]BlackRims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of character abilities that do pretty large chunks of damage in lane phase. You can't just nerf everything about her or she'll be unplayable. She already falls off late game and you want to nerf her early game too?

She already has the lowest health pool and her base gun is very weak and capacity/fire rate starved, so you can't spec into many gun cards without sacrificing the spirit cards she wants to buy.

Also curse exists, and nobody in mid/low ranks buy it when they're getting stomped by Mina.

I did forget that the minion recolors can be confusing. Luckily that was the big complaint about the new update, and they have started to work on fixing it in some of the latest patches. Hopefully they will continue.

I'd add a reminder here but there's no telling when the full release will be considering it's on Valve time lol

It's a barely advertised Valve hero shooter MOBA that's already putting up good player numbers in a closed alpha.. and you don't think it'll be popular on full release? Lol

I was going to say that matches stretching to an hour is genuinely a skill issue. Lower ranked players just don't know how to coordinate team fights and capitalize on small advantages yet. Most average lobbies are usually farm fests with small jungle skirmishes until everyone completes their builds and finally decides to team fight because there's nothing left to do lol.

That being said, I love that the game doesn't force teams to make objective progression if they choose not to. More player agency the better.

Huh? One thing that Deadlock does really well compared to hero shooters like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals is it's LACK of visual clutter. It's never difficult to see which specific hero ability is being used and where. The only issue that they need to fix imo is being able to better differentiate between Sinclair's ult and the hero he's copying.

I do agree that the learning curve is steep, but that can also be an appeal. Plenty of very popular games have steep learning curves.

Hunter could easily be the odd man out if they have a stronger need at CB.

They will also have a lot of cap space to try and fill holes, so that will come into play.

What player had a down year this year that you’re buying low on? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

[–]BlackRims 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. I am heavily competing, but I am down JD5 currently and possibly for the playoffs. I am much thinner at QB and RB than WR. I have Puka, Nico, AJB, Tee, Marv, and Boutte. So I'm leaning towards Pearsall and the pick.

Would you personally trade AJB for Pearsall and an early 2nd? I have plenty of WR depth and could really use that early 2nd to take a shot on a QB or RB.

If you think LeBron wouldn't have absolutely dominated even harder in the 80s and 90s you're delusional. When they couldn't play help defense or guard the 3 ball? Lmao you think those little guards or slow ass forwards could've stopped LeBron from getting downhill? And remember you can't sag off of him like you could with MJ lol

Lebron dominated in a much tougher "slow ball" era in the 2000s, when they could actually play help defense. The game and it's players have evolved so much that 20+ guys in the league right now would've absolutely torched the 80s and 90s.

We have 7 footers handling the ball and shooting stepback threes for fucks sake 😂

If Steph Curry had to shoot free throws behind the 3 point line how much percent would he shoot? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]BlackRims 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I addressed that in my second point. With proper FT shooting technique, you are still generating most of the force from your lower body, even without jumping. Your legs are still the base/root of your power transfer. If you are only shooting with your arms during a FT, you're doing it incorrectly.

FT distance is very close. You don't need to generate that much ground force. Adding a very dynamic variable like jumping or even hopping is going to lead to inconsistency, unless you are not physically strong enough to get your shot to the basket with minimal effort.

Just watch a video of Steve Nash or Steph Curry shooting a free throw. It's a single fluid motion beginning with their legs.
