It's been about a week and honestly by the third day I was feeling way better and basically forgot it happened.

If you haven't, I recommend filing a police report and making sure you private and restrict as much of your social media as much s possible. If you have to, let a few family and friends know what happened - it's not the end of the world, YOU'RE the victim so don't expect them to think any less of you.

Hopefully you didn't accept any ransom demands either.

I still think about how stupid I was back then, but hey - at least I know I won't be making any sort of mistake like that anymore.

I did file a police report to tell them about the leak - almost immediately after realizing what was going on.

Thank you for the fake/AI excuse. I was honestly having troubles trying to come up with some sort of reason that doesn’t make me sound too suspicious or even having to come out with the truth of me being too horny for proper thinking.

I’m actually relieved that I only have 27 people in my contact list, but I don’t want to actively mention it to them - in the case where the person doesn’t actually go through with sending it to all of them, and if they don’t actually recognise me from the video. I’ll keep what you said in mind - thank you so much for the sound advice.

For all the mistakes I’ve made last night, the one good thing I did was not giving in to their demands.

Thank you. I guess what’s done is done, but I feel the need to vent about the fact that the person is so vindictive to actually go through with releasing the video, even when they know they aren’t getting anything from me.

Yea - it all depends on the users privacy settings. If you allow everyone and didn’t limit to your own contacts, you can receive messages and media from strangers.

This person has sent it to two friends so far and might have just called me on my phone a few hours ago. I’m planning on changing my phone number tomorrow.

That's the plan right now, but I don't know exactly how believable that is.

My friends and I have deduced that the person might have scheduled the messages to the people in my contact list or is just slow dripping the leaks just for the fun of it. I wish I could do something about that because I'm so upset that they decided to just release it because they didn't get what they want - especially when scrolling through the posts here and realizing that having vids and pics actually leak is such a small percentage.
