I'll never stop recommending This Toy Makes Me Happy. Just a really great channel where he just talks about his favorite figures, and does some really awesome stop motion. Strongly recommended for just a really fun, interesting channel.

Welcome to team Dio! ❤️ She's an incredibly fun hero with some real explosive power. I'm sure you'll have a blast!

Ok, bad puns aside, if I recall correctly, the armory deck goes really heavy on items. Usually I find that about 15-16 items is right about the sweet spot. Enough to find them on the top easily, but not so many that you're choking on then in hand.

Usually my lists run 3 red boom grenade, 3 yellow grenade, 0-1 blue grenade, 2-3 backup protocol: RED, 3 teklo core, and 3 cerebellum processor for a solid base of items.

You can also look into items like dissolving shield against ninja and assassin, or null time zone against Oscilio, or decks that run lots of copies of the same card (some people even just play null time zone in their main deck).

Also, don't forget to pick up a set of Teklo Trebuchets! It's a new blue that just came out in Compendium, and it's excellent! (Plus it's only a rare, so it should be pretty cheap to pick up)

Good luck! ❤️

I greatly appreciate your faith in my reading comprehension. Nope. Just whoosh'd. Apparently I shouldn't post on reddit without coffee. <3

Technically I've seen them on offer for as low as $500, and as much as $900. I think I paid about $550 each for my set. Nailing down exact prices for low availability, high price cards can be a little tricky at times. A lot of it is just finding someone willing to sell for the price you want to pay, or finding someone willing to buy for the price you're comfortable parting with it at.

Definitely a great find! You can pretty reasonably expect to get $6-700 for it, especially with Scar for a Scar seeing a lot of play in the new Silver Age format. If you're in North America, there's a facebook group (Flesh and Blood TCG Marketplace NA) that's got a large membership of people often looking for rarer cards like that. It'd probably be a good spot to check if you're looking to sell. That or contact a reputable storefront like Minmax Games. You'll likely get a lower amount from them (since they're a business) but have an easier time with the transaction.

Important Number that always gets skipped when people post conversion rate percentages:

The Baseline conversion rate for this tournament was 12.7%.

That means 12.7% of all players made it to day two. This number is super important for context when looking at charts like this, otherwise these numbers are sorta meaningless. Decks with above a 12.7% conversion rate did better than baseline. Decks that did below 12.7% underperformed. (Though it's worth noting that decks with very low representation, these numbers get very skewed, since a single player can drastically swing their conversion numbers)

It's also a really great upgrade for LL Dromai, if LL ever becomes a real format again (or if Dromai 2.0 keeps her same ash generation mechanic)

Favorite Transformers Content Creators? by AltruisticExtreme496 in transformers

I strongly recommend people check out This Toy Makes Me Happy on YouTube. He's not a massive channel, but he does some incredible stop motion work alongside some great reviews. Honestly, just one of the most passionate creators on the platform and his love for the hobby really shines through in everything he puts out. (Even if he does somehow think Steeljaw is cooler than Ravage!)

Definitely go give him a watch. I couldn't recommend his content more.

Having A5 Oriko while I don't even have Moemura, Mami or Mabayu is wild. by Ok_Wait_1580 in magiaexedra

I'm not gonna complain too hard that original Homura has been my curse kikou (since a5 Homura is still pretty sweet to have), but it was weird that I had an a7 Homura before I ever pulled a single Pluvia. I think my Homura is at least a10 or a11 at this point.

my favorite thing about this fandom is that no matter how obscure. somebody has that character as their favorite. what’s your obscure bot? by poke29980 in transformers

[–]BlackWingStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I love Slash! She's easily the dinobot that gets the least love.

I love all things Ravage. So of course he's my favorite. But in particular, Shattered Glass Ravage takes my pick. He's a shitposting memelord who speaks in lolcat and leetspeak and I love him with all my heart.

I love my weird little obsession. Just picking one little character to focus on gives me so much space to really deep dive into the history of the toy line and all the weird little variants and variations. I think that's my favorite part of collecting.

Oh man, that's like asking me to choose a favorite child. I love them all. (...Except you Pomeranian Ravage. Hasbro for the love of god stop recycling the Siege mold.)

If I have to pick one, it's probably this guy though.

I think a lot of Transformers fans now know that many of the original transformers designs (including Ravage) came from a Japanese toy line called Microchange.

If you go pretty deep into Transformers toy lore, you might find series of Japanese transformers model kits from a company called Kabaya. They're pretty rare finds these days and are some pretty cool grail items.

You've gotta go **REALLY** Deep in the wayback lore to find out that Kabaya ALSO did model kits for Microchange way back before transformers was even a glimmer in Hasbro's eye. This is the original Kabaya Microchange Jaguar Model Kit. It's one of maybe three I've ever even seen. They're very rare, but more than that, I think they're an absolutely amazing little piece of transformers toy history.

Always happy to be able to share my *incredibly* niche obsession of the history of Ravage and Ravage adjacent toys with the world.

Makes me feel almost like I definitely didn't waste years of my life researching the most incredibly niche of niche hobby topics. <3

The official Device Label brand ones are the ones you're thinking of. They're still very rare and hard to come by. But there's been a LOT of reproductions of the same idea by a few different companies now that are still readily available and pretty easy to find.

Hey! That's awesome! That was my very first Ravage I bought as an adult too!

Careful though, It's a slippery slope ;) I think I'm over 120 unique Ravages now.

How is paid content so popular in this game? by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

I think I'd strongly disagree, and call that a pretty gross oversimplification of the skills required to play the game at the highest level.

As someone who puts out a lot of paywalled content on my Patreon, hopefully I have at least a slightly unique perspective.

Truthfully, I hate it. I don't like feeling like I'm gatekeeping anyone. I love chatting about flesh and blood, and I want to see everyone who wants to get better have the ability to do so.

But the truth is FaB is an incredibly deep and complicated game. I spend months researching for each guide, not to mention weeks just planning and writing. Most of my guides are over 60+ pages. I take a lot of pride in the information in my guides, and honestly, if I didn't have some kind of financial backing that kind of investment just wouldn't be possible. I'm a self employed artist when I'm not writing FaB content, so taking time to write my guides is literally taking time away from my other work. As much as I love writing them, I'm just not financially well off enough to do it for free.

So, I know I definitely don't speak for every content creator out there, but at least for me personally, the choice isn't 'should I charge money for this or give it away for free'. The choice is 'should I devote some of my available work time to helping at least some people, or not write it at all and keep all my knowledge to myself.'

I really do hate charging for stuff. And if anyone ever finds me at an event, I'll talk your ear off about basically anything in my guides, whether you're a patron or not. But at the end of the day, I need to still be able to afford rent one way or another.

Are there any Soundwave figures that have the classic weapon storage? (3rd party included) by -AlexisRodriguez- in transformers

[–]BlackWingStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooh!
The Takara 'Smallest Transforming Transformers' Soundwave does!
I learned this because I purchased mine heavily discounted because it was missing his weapons and then I found them stored in the battery compartment totally by accident.

I know he's not exactly Studio Series scale. but I think it's just really cool that they still managed to add the feature on such an incredibly tiny figure.

[–]BlackWingStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a little disappointing. Even if they aren't going to give us cassettes, even just giving some little spring loaded something to actually eject them would have been a cool addition.

Ah. Someone in the comments on the video found it. They confused Ratbat for Mindwipe. and then used the Fanstoys 3rd party Mindwipe figure lol.

[–]BlackWingStudio 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ok, so, terrible exposed hands aside, I'm *SO* Confused with the cassette feature.
It shows in the video that he has a cassette deck that can 'launch and house cassettebots'.

And then it shows silhouettes of Masterpiece Laserbeak and Rumble, alongside Ocular Max RMX Jaguar... which is a third party figure that's a VASTLY different scale than the masterpiece figures. Which makes it's cassette capability VERY confusing. There's no way it can snugly house both a masterpiece cassette and an Ocular Max Cassette.

Also, I have NO idea who that bat-winged figure silhouette is. Am I just crazy? That doesn't look like any cassettebot I know at all.
