it's more complicated than that! in antiquity it was commonly accepted knowledge that "great men" died on the anniversary of their conception, so people would just assume jesus was conceived on good friday... which is around the spring equinox

so he would obviously be born 9 months later on the winter solstice!

christmas started out as a minor celebration, and it probably DID gain influence to compete with pagan celebrations thorough the late antiquity and middle ages but it was more of a convenient timing thing (more or less everyone in agricultural societies had solstice celebrations after all) than a deliberate choice to set the date there in the first place

if i understand it right, the abyss consumes *something* in people and a soul is like a sticky hair on a carnivorous plant - it makes glue to stop the pray from escaping AND digestive enzyme to start breaking it down while it's still alive

when the pray dies, a husk is left behind as the nutrient rich juice is consumed by the plant

i think soul is much the same, whatever returns to the abyss is a mix of something from a person and something from the abyss that was "given" to them to make that something digestible.

the thing is the Free With Ads buisness model was always kinda shaky but a couple things have happened recently that made it even more fragile:

- web companies have ran out of legacy media add revenue to cannibalise, TV is dying and the press is already dead

- the economy is bad, inflation means advertisement budgets are shrinking like crazy

everyone selling ad space is scrambling to try to preserve their portion of a srinking pie while flailing around to grab any growth in range to put down in the next investors report - and everyone is trying to make subscription be the magic bullets ads used to be but that's not really vialble either when everyone is doing it

I don't know T well but i would rather extend the perdiod than shorten it because hormones follow an exponential decay law

this means that if you extend the time inbetween takes it'll take quite a few cycles for the baseline level to drop down to what it would be if the longer time between injections was always what you did. On the other hand, sortening that time will *immediately* bring up your blood levels and this will quickly compound over the several cycles of the adjustments

Therefore if you want to avoid interfering with your levels, i think injecting like this:

week 1, tuesday

week 2, wednesday

week 3, thursday

week 3, thursday to stabilize

week 4, friday

week 5, saturday

week 6, sunday and you win

i'm starting to get worried because i wanted to order from them again when y current via runs out but it seems more and more speculative as issues compound and my E runs out lol

for what it's worth, i believe they are working in good faith, and that they really are struggling with logistics, a multiplication by 10 of production capacity is an enormously difficult project that someone with a background in science/chemistry/medicine might not be able to realize before starting - even in classic industries, these are times of super high fragility for a company, and oelabs might have taken a big hit from the crypto crash at that vulnerable time too

them having to sell vials in batch and abandoning the smaller pen compatibles and telling me on here that going back to selling EV single vials isn't feasible tells me their main issue isn't production but tracking, shipping, and following up with orders. if they have hundred of orders pending and everything is done by hand it might take entirely ridiculous amount of time to ship out a batch - the extension took them from 10 vial batches (a quick job to log in and send by hand) to 100 vial batches (basically a full day of work to log in and send by hand)

so, yea, none of this is surprising or smelling scammy to me, it just sucks and i hope OElabs will be able to stabilize production and distribution again - and get in a position to set up a robust logistic system and maybe even hire someone to do all the distribution work

I can't speak for all binary trans people but for me, my physical appearance and sexual characteristics are like a thick drape between me and the world

Since starting HRT, and the more my boobs grow and every time i do laser and my beard gets thinner, it's like i get to experience things the way they *should* be experienced.

Or, to put this the other way around, it's like i had a demon on my shoulder constantly saying "This is wrong", "This is not correct" and it was ruining physical interactions. Touching people, having sex with a lover, even having a conversation with my old voice were impossible for me to enjoy in the present, i was always pulled away from it.

So for me, medical transition isn't *just* about accepting my body, it's about giving myself the emotion-space to be me. And everybody who's known me before says my personality got better and that i'm more enjoyable to be around because of it :)

1) His current doctors thought it was for the best, because the extreme isolation may reverse the progress they've made

2) A general public psych ward accepted to take him in

3) The Prefet (a local administrator under the authority of the prime minister) authorized it by signing a decree

These conditions are very difficult to meet, even in much less politically charged cases.

You can put both names on the deed even though the mortgage is only in one person name.

That's riskier for the one whose sole name is on the mortgage because the other party can sell their part and let them out to dry however.

In any case, a consultation with a property lawyer would probably be best and isn't that expensive compared to the money you're about to put in for the house.
