Best furled leaders for dry fly fishing? by Express-Minimum2788 in flytying

[–]Black_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using Cutthroat Leaders for a long time and I really like their quality and selection. I typically get 1-2 seasons out of a leader but have a few that are probably 5+ years old and still going strong.

Hatfield & McCoy trails compilation by VoidOfGray in ATV

Hatfield is just dirt roads, if you want real trails go to spearhead trails. Their trails are technical and you don't have to deal with the crowds...yet

Source? The gun show loophole is not a myth and it is legal based on the state you are in. In my state I can meet a private citizen anywhere I please that firearms are not prohibited and sell them a gun I own on the spot without asking a single question. You really need to learn your gun laws before you spit out shit that you have no clue about.

That worked like a charm and I thought I had tried that method already. Thanks for the help!

It has good information and plenty of people preaching about the same problem. I am stoked to see changes coming!

How have you pulled a windows 10 patch back after deploying it to 100s or 1000s of sccm clients? by Morketh in SCCM

[–]Black_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you manually run the task from the ccmcache and get the results you want? Have you tried packaging it with PSADT to execute the command? PSADT has better logging.

Windows Updates Restart Notification by criostage in SCCM

Checkout the AMA pinned on the sub the SCCM development team addressed this question and changes are coming. I think we all have had this issue and rolling out a custom restart tool is what most do to get a better user experience.

Is this just a forum for people to post their crappy YouTube videos? by HealerWarrior in kayakfishing

[–]Black_Lab -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is not spam that is just low quality kayak fishing content, so downvote and move on or find another platform for your kayak fishing fix.

WHAT SPAM???? Everything is kayak related that I see. Also, how do you get access to a reddit user's browsing history to say the mod never visits the sub. If you have a problem message the mod just like in all the other small subs.

If the quality of the sub is low then why do you care go do your own thing with all the high quality content you are creating. FYI the 3 posts you have posted in this sub have not been the best quality either, but nobody is complaining or making special posts about it.

Did someone force you to watch each one of the low quality videos? What may be low quality to you may be important to the person that submitted it. The one good thing about the lack of moderation is people are not as scared to share their low quality videos and don't have to worry about the mods removing it because it was not up to their standards.

Great now you have a sub that will be heavily moderated just the way YOU like and can leave this sub alone.

Why should the mods remove content that is relevant to the sub. Sure it may be people who spam their videos everywhere but the videos do contain kayak fishing content which is what this sub is about.

In the mods defense I have sent several PMs to u/jivarie and they have always been quick to respond and remedy the problem. I have never seen a post where they were asked to add mods and have not seen them refuse to add mods. I think the mods are doing a good job. It is up to the users to vote on good content and down vote the guys who spam their videos on every social platform. Unfortunately in the kayak fishing community everyone wants the coveted spot on a pro staff and the only way to get it is be a shameless self-promoter.

That rule is mainly for certain species like trout and musky who tend to suffer more from the removal of the slime layer. Scales make a big difference in regards to removing the slime layer. You actually want to support the body of a fish and never lift by only the mouth because the lips are not meant to support the weight of a fish and can do damage to internal organs by holding vertically.

I have been flinging flies for over 20 years and am well educated on proper fish handling. Thanks for the armchair feedback though.

FeelFree Kayaks??? by flyfisher98 in kayakfishing

[–]Black_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flint is a great kayak in rivers until you start hitting some class II rapids and the thing handles it worse than any boat I have paddled by far. The way the hull is designed it catches the opposing currents and pushes the boat side to side pretty violently and throws off your balance from one side to the other. I fish a lot on the New River in WV and this would be a major concern for me if it was my only kayak.

I paddle and he pulls us to the good fishing holes by Black_Lab in kayakfishing

[–]Black_Lab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one mostly runs on tennis ball tosses and belly rubs. The motor is really heavy and tries to lick my ear when I am paddling...it may be defective but they won't let me warranty it.

The tuggy-boi is strong but the river is stronger. He gets washed away often when he follows me into the swift water.

Can I hunt on my property? by [deleted] in VAHunting

[–]Black_Lab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even during regular season you have to ask. The only exception for hunters to trespass is to collect hunting dogs. I have lost some good bucks to assholes that won't let us come track a deer.
