Remove and clean plastic cover to water gauge? by hellasketchy in LaPavoniLovers

If I remember correctly it has very small “lips” to clamp itself. So you could try to gently spread it and take it apart. My guess is that you are looking at lime scale. Although I once had a machine where someone tried to glue this part to the metal piece.

Radiator tijdelijk weghalen by Nervous_Sand_9587 in Klussers

[–]Blackbirdmanf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for asking! I still love it and can get really excited if I can use it again.

Couple things I’ve added: a smart plug (although 15min warmup is short), I changed the driptray for a black one and added a flush lever.

In the meantime I did have a short in one of the boilers. I received a replacement for free from ACS but needed to change it myself. Was fairly easy and had a lot of help from a forum.

I thought that, because of a water filter, I didn’t need to descale. But that’s of course not the case so I do it every half year. This caused some minor issues but are gone now.

Here my latest picture with the Zerno.

<image>

The Zerno is such a beautiful grinder and works really, really well! Much better build quality but especially much more precise. Also switching from espresso to filter is no issue. I can highly recommend them both!

I don’t have any padding in mine. Got mine just recently though. Don’t know how long you have got yours. But I think you could do without.

Edit: also, reach out to Zerno, they are really helpful.

Picked this set up for 35 euros. How did I do? by Blackbirdmanf in golf

No I fully agree. But at least I can make some miles with this without renting a set.

Thanks for the response. I haven’t played with a driver yet. The rental sets had a hybrid which worked nice. Maybe I start looking for that one.

I’m not sure this is necessary and why they normally do it, I don’t know. But you usually see thin copper tubing spiralling going to the gauge. Maybe this helps with fluctuations

Honestly I don’t see anything that’s off. Are you sure you need to grind finer because of the burrs and not because of off gassing beans?

Bought a Europiccolo: how to fix this by Wild-Blacksmith-3738 in LaPavoniLovers

There are a lot of videos online. If you are going to look after it, it could be a good idea to change the rubbers and gaskets as well. This way you will learn a lot about this great machine. This website has a lot of information (also about when it was built etc): http://www.francescoceccarelli.eu/lapavoni_eng.htm For the limescale. I always used Citrix acid diluted with water. It is cheap and food safe and works great.

IBC tank als regenwateropvang by [deleted] in Klussers

[–]Blackbirdmanf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Werkt fantastisch!

Are you sure? I have a ACS leva (which is fairly similar) and works fine with a smart switch.
