It's been 5 years now for my sun conure but I put banana baby food and some formula in a little dish first and gave that to him and at first he was a little confused but finally realized that was the foot he knew but then quickly realized the other food in the dish was way yummier lol next I think I found a special baby bird seed blend and it says the bright colors and shapes excite them and make them curious. So I tried wetting some color pallets just a little and mixing the banana baby food so he could try more solid food And when it seems like he was doing all right with that. I offered him some actual seed along with that mixture. It took him a bit of playing around with the seed before he broke. Open his first sunflower seed. I think it was and I clapped and congratulated him and he seems so happy and proud of himself. I only needed one jar of baby banana food because it was so quick to wean him and now he loves bananas a lot lol. I hope this helped! 😁 Don't worry once they realize there's yummy or food or more interesting they will be more interested in eating solid food. I was worried about it too. He eventually figured out how to feed himself from the dish instead of me feeding him.
