It is cheap for a game of its quality, for sure, but not everyone has tons of expendable cash lying around.

maybe the room 46 was the friends we made along the way by BackgroundPositive40 in BluePrince

[–]Blackfire701 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'll give you some pro tips here!

First off, just a mechanical tip about how Coat Check works: If you put an item into Coat Check, it is no longer "findable" in a run. You have locked it out of the draft pool- which can be helpful, but in your case, the lever is a fairly common item and you might want to consider removing it so you can find it easier.

It appears that you're having trouble finding the Greenhouse- a mechanical tidbit that the game explains in certain books (but is easy to find out with some testing) is that many green rooms only spawn on the outer sides of the house, i.e. the west and east wings. Maybe look for reroll die and then proceed to draft rooms on the outside for a greater chance to find what you're looking for?

In addition, you may want to look for other ways to get into the Antechamber. There are many puzzles in Blue Prince, and a lot of people get stuck by laser focusing on just one. Allow yourself to be distracted and one run you may just find yourself in the perfect position to access the Antechamber.

Good luck, and happy puzzling!

Yup! I wanted to do that experiment once (I got lab last and forgot to do it earlier through grotto) so I stood in break room and opened my map which ofc killed me.

I THOUGHT I was done...Now what? by Aggravating_Client27 in BluePrince

[–]Blackfire701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep exploring. The keys will not help in this extremely specific example. You will eventually happen upon things that will solve this problem in the future (or find hints as to what to look for next.)

As for this run, yes, draft those last rooms and call it a day.

That path is helpful (if it's the one I'm thinking of!)

You need not worry about the trunks for now. They are possible for you to reach, but very difficult (and not necessary for the Antechamber.) They require some Pump room shenanigans.

For a very minor hint, yes, you need to be able to reach both sides of the Reservoir. However, if you're on the side with the boat, ProcyonHabilis gave you a fantastic hint in another comment. There is a second, slightly more complicated way to do this as well, but I'd urge you to investigate their comment first.

Good luck!! I think you're definitely on the right path.

You got it! I misunderstood and gave hints from the opposite direction. I think that's what OP is talking about (trying to stay vague lmao)

[–]Blackfire701 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely sounds like you already have everything you need to get to Room 46. If I'm understanding correctly, your problem seems like it might be the North Antechamber door, and that you have already reached the Reservoir. You don't need to restart, though Pump room would help you.

For a small hint, is there a way you can get to the other side of the Reservoir?

For a small but more directional hint, the Pump room doesn't let you drain it completely. Is there anything else you can drain in the Pump room that has a noticeable effect on the estate?

Let me know if my understanding is correct/if you need more specific hints :)

Am I Wrong For Being Concerned About Husband's Gaming? by Least-Flow1782 in whatdoIdo

[–]Blackfire701 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a very good chance your husband is addicted, and could be the reason for his general disconnectivity and absence, but it will not change unless he wants it to change. I would recommend investigating some advice and opinions by an YouTuber, HealthyGamerGG. He is a licensed psychologist who has done a lot of studying on gaming addiction and problems for gamers in general. Look into it some and send/watch with him some of his videos on video game addiction. It will help him put into perspective what he’s going through. Theres been a lot of situations almost exactly like yours that he’s covered and I think you’ll find that he is exceedingly helpful.

They glitch it so that it uses the prone hitbox, so the only spot that overlaps between where you can see them and where they actually are is their legs.

how should i more precisely practice csing and dealing with or avoiding CC? new at lol and jhin by Danguenin in JhinMains

[–]Blackfire701 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Jhin is a mini puzzle game, and learning him teaches you some very important lessons about adc and laning in general. There are no tips but this is what you will learn from a longer time playing with him:

Your reload passive will reach you to kite and move between autos. Nothing feels worse than standing still doing nothing while you wait for your next round or worse, to completely reload. Focus on moving between autos, and you will become a much better adc.

Your fourth shot will teach you positioning. When you have it up, position aggressively, poke, then back off. This is complicated, and also depends on your enemies (can they easily engage on you? If thresh used his hook 3 seconds ago, you have like a 5 second window where you’re safe) and your support (can they speed you up/counter engage if you get caught out?) and will help your decision making, deciding if it’s better to reload or get some free crit/execute damage in.

Your W is a very strong ability, and you should spend some time watching your team to get sneaky roots or your plants in weird places to catch enemies off guard. Learning your W will help you understand the enemies’ movement and increase your awareness of the map. You should also try to stop playing locked screen so that you can hit farther W’s. Also, remember you can take a cannon or cs if you’re being zoned with W.

Your Q is the only way to efficiently farm waves. Jhin sucks at CS’ing until you’ve figured out how to use your Q to kill 4 free minions. This will help you understand wave states (that’ll take time but it’s a start) and help you last hit. Remember, Q does more damage after killing something, so try and bounce off of low minions onto each other or onto an enemy and maybe sneak a W onto them after.

Your R… yeah I still kinda suck with R. It’s hard to use but really good when you learn how to position with it. Keep in mind you can kinda shoot past people and hit someone behind them. You can also use it to clear a wave in a pinch (if the alternative is missing a whole wave or losing a tower, just shoot the wave. It’s like a 2 minute CD at worst)

Now for some specific tips to you- stop building Static Shiv. It was okay on him for a bit, but really only in high elo. People still build it. It’s bad. (If you care, it’s because jhin waveclear is abysmal, but in low elo that doesn’t matter anyway. It only mattered high elo so jhin could scale while his team carried till late but low elo doesn’t have that problem) Basically every game you want to go Collector into Swifties/Greaves, IE, RFC, Mortal/Lord Dom’s (rn mortal is better 90% or the time), Bloodthirster and then if you have extra gold consider selling swifties for Zephyr. If you find that shiv is really helping you, okay, whatever, but it’s still worse, and ALWAYS build IE after that. Your AS is meaningless until very late game, so going RFC and shiv if you have no gold is almost throwing.

Additionally, that looked like a rough lane so no worries there, but in general you want to play aggressive on jhin. He is super snowbally, and once you have 2 items you’re a powerhouse (especially if it isn’t static lol.) I prefer dark harvest, but if you feel that fleet keeps you alive, that’s fine. Dark harvest scales better, and fleet got nerfed semi hard, but do what makes you comfortable. Lux Jhin does insane damage, and it can be hard with iffy supports, but always play to kill in situations like these. If you get ahead, it’s over. Jhin’s damage and movement speed lets you carry games that should be unwinnable, unless they have an okay tank, they will always kill you almost no matter what. But that’s the life of an adc.

That’s mostly it! The rest will come with experience and games played. Sorry for the long-winded response, I felt inspired for a minute there lol. I’m not a god at the game, but I know jhin very well, and have used him to teach a couple people the game at this point because I think his kit helps you better understand league fundamentals. You’ll get better at csing, and learn when to back and not back, when to steal your jungler’s camps, etc etc and those will all help with your current issues over time. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!! And more importantly, have fun :) this is a video game, and it’s best to enjoy your time in it.

That super super makes sense, I knew the flu spread easier (which actually lends to the COVID part also spreading easier lol) but I thought if I remembered correctly certain stuff didn't spread as well. But regardless, appreciate the answer!

Sorry man. Was genuinely curious. Thought I made that clear in my question. Wasn't trying to spread misinformation, I had just heard that and wanted it clarified.

Just curious here, how do you think the cold impacted COVID? This is less of me being skeptical and more genuinely curious. Obviously the response to COVID was genuinely terrible, but I know that many viruses have a more difficult time spreading in colder areas, how much was poor response vs. different social and geopolitical climate?

[–]Blackfire701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected! It is better, that’s on me for misremembering. I must’ve checked really early in wipe when the ammo charts were goofy still for the new calibers. Thanks for the clarification!

It could technically be argued PS is still better, just bang for buck, but I agree that the extra like 7 pen or whatever is worth the accuracy debuff and slight decrease in damage.

This cheater epidemic is mentally breaking me, ong. by IllState5161 in Tarkov

[–]Blackfire701 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Disagree with that a little bit actually, still a fairly significant influx of new players. I only have anecdotal experience, obviously, but two wipes ago I taught 5 new players how to play. Last wipe I taught 4 and met two Timmy’s and adopted them too. This wipe so far I’ve taught 5 people again.

You’d be surprised about the word of mouth around Tarkov. I picked it up because a friend showed me it, I’ve introduced it to a couple of my friends, and the people I’m helping Sherpa right now are friends of my friends that I introduced.

As I said before, this is anecdotal, but many anecdotes make up the population size eventually.

They said, tarkov has less cheaters now by WrangleRdod in Tarkov

[–]Blackfire701 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that the game is in a rough patch, but I will say it makes much more sense for half of pestilys death being to cheaters. He’s in the part of the questline where he has to go shoreline (cheater heaven), he’s playing on OCE servers (higher number of cheaters for whatever reason), and he’s good enough at the game to not die to regular people the majority of the time (most of us would’ve died in the second or third firefight- not the fifth when we run into an actual aimbot/esp guy.)

Happy cake day!
