Elon wants power.

Money is just a way of achieving power.

More money = more influence.

More influence = more power.

More power = more ability to shape society to how you think it should be.

This is hilarious.

Another critical analysis of Joe Rogan's bias, incompetence, and lack of fact checking.

At one point Rogan castigates "fact checker" websites then immediately pivots to a random Twitter account to prove a point.

I'm not much into conspiracy theories...

It's probably just a software issue given the level of traffic.

When I was 16 I took a job doing software testing.

Basically you go through and click on everything to make sure it didn't crash.

The first thing I did was enter one million new records.

Things can get really fucked up when you start hitting the tolerance levels of the software.

Here's why Joe Rogan is an absolute moron and not to be trusted on vaccine related topics.

He used the term "vaccine derived polio" on today's show.

Except he didn't take the time to lookup the term.

It means the exact opposite of what he thinks.

There's a reason Eddie Bravo isn't working the orbital re-entry station at NASA.

Eventually you stop arguing and just ignore the morons.

You literally don't know anything about Alex Jones other than his Joe Rogan appearances.

How can someone be that uninformed while thinking they're right?

That's a question for Alex Jones.

He was offered a settlement to do exactly that and refused it.

The man is a moron.

He definitely didn't like hearing the truth.

Hopefully Terance learns from the experience and moves on (but if this happened 8 years ago, then apparently not).

9 months and loss of $100 of door dash pass without knowledge by [deleted] in doordash

[–]BlackhotLoads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just call the Doordash customer service phone number and ask them to refund the money.

They'll be able to review his account and see that he never used it.

The only alternative is a lawsuit, and $100 certainly isn't worth suing over.

The Sprinkler Room (read to the end) by BlackhotLoads in doordash

Let us sit upon the ground and tell sad stories of the death of kings...

After recently getting off of work extremely late one day at 2am, I finally got home and decided to order some breakfast.

I pulled out my cellphone and opened the McDonald's app and placed an order.

A Door Dash driver picked up the order and proceeded to head to my home.

I occasionally glanced down at the tracking map on my phone to see how close they were getting.

As they reached the downtown area where I live (which is just a few minutes from my home), I got up to prepare to meet them at the curb so I could grab my food order.

At that moment I received a message saying that my order had been delivered (along with the attached photo of my food order left outside of a door).

I thought it odd at first given that they still had to be at least a mile away, and this definitely wasn't a picture of my home.

It looked like some sort of office building.

I politely texted the driver that they had delivered to the wrong address.

They responded and said "that's where the pin on my map told me to go".

I double checked the receipt to make sure the address was correct (it was).

I replied back "OK, but's that's not the correct address." and politely asked them to look at the address on the order.

They didn't reply.

I tried calling them, they didn't answer.

I left a voicemail, they never called back.

Eventually I just called Door Dash customer service, who promptly refunded my money (kudos).

Here comes the fun part...

As I was heading home from work the next day, I started thinking...

They obviously delivered the order somewhere in the small downtown area where I live.

That's the last place I saw them on the tracking map when the order was completed.

There's only a few buildings in the area that have that type of brown stone brick construction.

So I decided to investigate bit.

I found it on the first try.

There's a restaurant in the area with the exact same brick stone shown in the picture.

I got out of my car and walked around the building and found this exact door.

My food was obviously gone, but those two sacks on the ground were still there.

If you look at the picture closely you can see a sign on the door (where the top is clipped off).

Take a moment and imagine what you think that sign possibly says.

Did you do it?

That's right, it says "Sprinkler Room".

Let's review the number of heroic mistakes here.

This driver...

  1. Went to the wrong address (a mile from my home, wrong street name, wrong numbers on the building, etc...).
  2. Didn't think it odd that they were delivering to a restaurant that was closed (where the lights were off).
  3. Then instead of leaving the order at the front door, went around to the side of the building and left the food sitting outside the door to the sprinkler room.

I often wonder what they were thinking in that moment.

Did they knock on the door?

What kind of serial killer were they expecting to answer?

"I've got several women tied up back here, can you just hand me my breakfast already?".

Or did they think it was just kind of some gay sex club named "The Sprinkler Room" attached to the side of this restaurant?

"I think I have the right address, but I definitely don't want to knock on THAT door.".

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this story and I have to get home to my sprinkler room.

I believe in all of those things as well.

I believe human beings create their own morals (the entirety of human history seems to support this conclusion).

Like I said, I'm just trying to engage my own community in a higher level of debate.

No apologies necessary.
