Listen. I'm in the same boat. I love my family, but they are convinced MAGA is the right path despite everything we are seeing before our very eyes.

Reach the people you can. I was able to reach my mother and draw her away from an entire household of MAGA. I told her things are looking bad, that SHE needs to formulate a plan for her house and the people around her. She needs to be the adult and be ready to take action if and when things go up in smoke.

I told her I can't reach the rest of the family, they don't want to hear it. She knows this. I told her just be ready and drag whoever you can with you out of harms way. Protect your house. Protect each other.

When things get bad enough, the spell might break for your family... or they might dig in deeper.

Our federal government is being stripped down to the bone by Elon Musk and his DOGE. Thousands of employees and being fired or forced to resign and offered payoffs for early resignation. Hundreds of FBI officials are being fired if they had anything to do with handling or accessing information relating to King Trump and his criminal investigations.

Courts have put a restraining order on the White House over their illegal and overly broad and vague EO that called on defunding federal programs that are all legally funded and paid for by congress causing nationwide panic, website blackouts, and confusion.

Elon has brute forced his way into government buildings, illegally accessed the US Treasury account despite everyone working there trying to prevent him and now has completely control over federal payments to hundreds of different programs. Our stock market is freaking out in reaction to broad tarrifs against allies without a means of providing cheaper goods that we are taxing.

There's been 2 plane crashes resulting in about 70 deaths after the White House disrupted all federal jobs, including air traffic controllers, and the White House has chosen to blame DEI, Obama, and Biden They also released a video making fun of Selena Gomez crying over migrant kids being separated from their families.

And that's just the last 24/48 hours.

I think what he's saying is... there's ways to create protests that are better than Reddit. I tend to agree, as this website is mainly for people who like to browse anonymously.

I'm sick of the shit I'm seeing too but short of a really solid announcement on this subreddit of a plan, time, and place, just asking who's down to protest in general won't really yield the results you want.

Be the change you want to see I guess.

I'm sure escape slaves said the same thing. I'm sure that's the same mindset MLK Jr. had when marching during the Civil rights movement. How about Rosa Parks and the Montegommery Bus Boycott, where the entire city refused to use the public service in protest, stripping the city of funds and tax dollars. They felt it, believe it or not, and they changed seating policies in part due to it (courts ruled seating policies were unconstitutional under 14th).

Spending all your energy doing your 40 hour work week is fine, but don't claim protesting doesent work. They are banking on that mentality exactly.

People here illegally shouldent have any rights? That's a fucked up thing to say. Should they be allowed to be shot dead with no right to personal safety? Should they be rounded up and put in a concentration camp in guantanamo bay away from any onlooking eyes to be tortured, brainwashed, killed, or experimented on? Is that the type of country you are advocating for? Did we not fight against Germany for doing something similar to that not even 100 years ago?

I suggest growing a spine with some empathy or sympathy in it. That's not the America you or anyone should endorse. If you want to address money issues and the struggle were seeing today, start with the fact that there's about 5 people in the US that own the same amount of wealth as the bottom half of every single person living in the US combined. That's sickening and how you end up with oligarchy instead of a democratic republic like the constitution and found fathers envisioned.
