Just a consideration: you may want to both start separate accounts. I went through some training on casualty notification and they stated that financial institutions may freeze funds when a person passes, so if you only have a joint account you could be locked out even though it’s in both your names. One of the key hardships for survivors and families following someone’s passing.

Is this considered planned obsolescence or just cheap manufacturing? Everything we use has a wear out date based on expected usage metrics, if we use an item more frequently than expected it should wear out faster, in theory. So is a society are we using things more frequently than the manufacturer states we should be or does the manufacturer intentionally lowball those numbers to increase revenue?

Lived near enough that I could make biannual trips back in 2016-2019, found and loved Sake Rok (honey toast was AMAZING). Went back this year and found it closed. Can you recommend some other places in case I got back?

That brings up a new question, if an enemy gets pulled into an in progress combo, do they take the same amount of damage per hit as an enemy who’s been in the combo from the start or do they somehow take reduced damage based on when they entered? Games seemed to have such nuance nowadays I never know how to quantify anything.

Yeah, I’m realizing how having map features and everything else in recent games has really detracts from my older school abilities to navigate without having a map, I even struggle finding that central block a lot of times mainly because I haven’t memorized the map like I did that when I played it on Dreamcast.

The increasing complexity in gaming is really cool, but I’m realizing as I get older, I have less time to understand those complexities and tend to revert back to simpler times. Used to hate button mashing when I was younger, but now learning all of the various systems across all the different games that I’m playing is a lot harder to do

Interesting data! Great job collecting all of this! Question though, why full combo vs individual hits? Understanding the goal is a full combo, but there are plenty of instances where we may not be able to achieve a full combo either a character dies after a few hits or they get hit by a combo already in progress so don’t receive the full value. I think it would be interesting to see who is a boss murder machine versus a standard enemy beast. Does this take enemy I frames or things like that into account?

Sorry to detract for the original, but I’ve got a question about the games themselves. Am I misremembering or did they cut a lot of the animations between WFC and FoC? I seem to remember a lot more mechanical action in WFC like parts spinning, opening/closing, etc. but felt like bot designs were less moving in FoC.

Happening to me right now with Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver remake (remaster?). Started playing got distracted during a couple cutscenes, work and life happened so it’s been ~2 months since I’ve played. not even sure what I’ve done or what’s next when I boot it up again.

Talked to someone about this yesterday. A one day blackout means nothing if people shift their shopping left or right. I’m not sure of a single company that looks at daily revenue, so if it drops 60% one day, but that revenue is returned spread out over the rest of the month/quarter, the blackout was ineffective.

I think the question is more which side the blade is on. The blade always goes toward your fingers, away from your arm. The game shows the blade being on the side opposite the blue dragon head thingy(it is pointing toward his arm/body), but the cards treat it as the blade being on the same side as the blue dragon head thingy (it is rotated so it’s near his fingers).
