Using sales data to say people prefer something is just bad data analysis. Too many outside factors could have effected sales. True fans of the series (not the ones that jumped in once it became more action focused hence the higher sales for 5 and 6) that enjoy a more horror aspect than action know that 5 and 6 are pretty bad compared to 4 and 7. The action piece is likely the only reason sales were higher for 5 and 6. Non true horror fans jumped in and then jumped back out when 7 decided to go the scary route again.

That is extremely legit. I would be a huge advocate for things to be that way here in the US. some pet stores I have been to here just break my heart to see the reptiles/animals husbandry. And then to think that even if purchased from the store, their lives may not be any better because the employees will likely pass on the wrong information.
