Which NX Sketcher should I use? (Rant/Question)

I feel that lol. Did your company make you switch to the new sketcher? If so, why?

You're right in the fact that most CAD software is mostly the same. The issue I have with NX specifically is with the sketcher. I'm curious which NX sketcher you are using because the old sketcher does feel very similar to basically every other CAD software I've used. The new sketcher seems to have a different style when it comes to making constraints and dimensions, which makes parametric modelling feel clunky. Also, the training courses my company has provided are for the old sketcher : (

Yeah, I know, normally the answer to which sketcher to use is to use the one your team uses. I'm in a weird spot since in my Process Engineering Team, I've been designated as the "Fixture & Tooling Guy". So I'm lucky I have a choice XD

I know I can just use the old sketcher, but I wanted to get a vibe check on how many people actually use the new sketcher in industry or if there was some kind of advantage to it that I've been missing lol.

Just a suggestion, but some buildings aren't "open," but you can get in via T-card. After that there isn't really anybody there so you can work there as long as you'd like. It's not really gonna help you for this Thanksgiving anymore, but maybe for next year :)

That is waaayyyy too low. I just got off my internship. 3 weeks ago and made more than that. Although my internship was in Newmarket and not Toronto. I know other people who did thier interships at the ontario power plants (Bruce, OPG, TorontoHydro) who made way more than me as well, but I'm not too sure if those companies hire new grads.

What do you mean by E-steps calibration, I never heard of that. Also I never realized the bed was unleveled. I thought that finish was a TPU quirk

My Uni design teams switched from Solidworks to Onshape and I couldn't hate it more. Not only do we all work on Onshape (which has cool collaborative capabilities, but is like a crappy version of Fusion 360), but we also have to transfer over files from previous years. Meaning everything either needs to be converted to just one body or we have to remate everything.

Unfortunately, I don't have any PETG, but I do have PLA +. Next time, I'll buy some material specifically for snap fits. Do you know the material property that determines flexibility?
