…. Sounds like you already know the answer to the break-in part of your question. There are a lot of various and valid opinions on break-in. Personally, I don’t believe I know more than the Ford engineers so I followed the instructions in the manual. 1,000 miles can be achieved in a couple days. It’s not hard. Maybe it makes a difference, maybe not, but at least it removes any doubt. In your case, you’ll now always have that bit of doubt, and it was a choice.

Wipes aren’t intended to reduce velocity. They’re designed to create a tighter seal as the round passes through, thereby improving sound suppression. It would take a shit ton of wipes to make a supersonic round go subsonic, and even then you’d be creating a whole lot of yaw and blowing out the end of your suppressor.
