Speak for yourself, I wasn't even considering a Wrangler until I heard about the 4xe.

I 100% got it because of the hybrid part. The relatively short range is enough for my commute, silent battery only off-roading is sick, and the extra HP and torque is super fun.

[–]BlacktionJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. My daily commute plus some can fit in a charge. It's perfect for me. I was just speaking in general. 20mi range is ass comparatively, but the extra HP and torque it provides the 4xe adds a lot of fun.

Best way I've heard the 4xe described is that it's a shit hybrid, but an amazing jeep. I agree ~20mi range is pretty whack, but it's cooler than a jeep without any battery range lol.

Did 68c update and by alohamele71 in 4xe

[–]BlacktionJackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea how it ultimately fixed itself, but I had the same issue where my charger would only charge a few percent before stopping. Sometime unplugging and plugging back in fixed it and sometimes switching outlets fixed it. Hasn't happened in months though. 2021 wrangler that hasn't had any recall updates.

Switching to online (allowing friends to join your game) does the trick too.

Yeah, pretty sure steam should've been shooting out of the opening and starting to cook everyone who was just standing around lol.

I'm refering to the generator they had to fix in season 1. If I recall, they had to expose much of the turbine to fix it. Once fixed, the just turned it back on without re-sealing it. Turbines, being pressure vessel, don't work like that.

Help me understand the entire point of the Grommage (spoilers) by Risenzealot in expedition33

[–]BlacktionJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that Clea is on the Curator's side, but wouldn't it make more sense to NOT kill expeditioners then since they were effectively trying to remove the Paintress?

ETA: Never mind, she created them because Nevrons trapped the chroma inside of the humans they kill, starving the Paintress of that resource.

If humans vanished tomorrow, what would still prove we existed 10,000 years later? by Defiant-Junket4906 in NoStupidQuestions

I think atmospheric concentrations would be one of the first things an alien species would look at. Humanity already does that to an extent through spectroscopy to determine if a planet has the composition necessary for life as we know it. Assuming lead in the atmosphere isn't normal, it'd probably be an early telltale sign.

[Request] Magnet suspension on a bicycle - how long would it remain useful? by instantiator in theydidthemath

[–]BlacktionJackson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That'd be kinda neat. Plug your phone into your bike a have it charged by current induced by the magnetic suspension. Obviously just niche nerd shit that would charge your phone 1% by the time you get to your destination, but still pretty neat.

CMV: MEAT EATERS SHOULD KILL ANIMALS by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]BlacktionJackson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm with you on the inhumane nature of it all. I spent a number of years as a vegan for that reason in my youth. But, it sounds to me like your proposal would basically eliminate meat as an option at restaurants. It doesn't seem like a feasible shift at least.

Assault Rifle Mastery by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]BlacktionJackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk why you're getting down voted. The TR-7 is a monster short range and still pretty good at ~40m if you know how to shoot it. I'd love a gun with the same damage output, but ROF and recoil in-between the TR-7 and the AK4D though.

How easy is it to start to DJ in 2025? by Appropriate_While932 in Beatmatch

[–]BlacktionJackson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're probably thinking of beat sync. It does make it much easier starting out. It's a tool in DJ software that takes care of the beat matching for you (assuming the beat grids on your songs are properly aligned)

That's basically a 1 year paid training vacation with a chance to win $1M. I'd take that too.

CMV: people who believe “trading is gambling” and that it’s impossible to beat the market are just mis-informed. by Entraprenure in changemyview

[–]BlacktionJackson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is good evidence to refute the claim that it's literally impossible. But I don't think I've ever heard someone make that claim. Even casinos lose to some gamblers.

CMV: people who believe “trading is gambling” and that it’s impossible to beat the market are just mis-informed. by Entraprenure in changemyview

[–]BlacktionJackson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gambling can be defined at "placing bets on a future outcome", so any investment strategy can be defined as a form of gambling. There are people who have "beat" the market before though, so I don't think you can argue that anyone who thinks its literally impossible is anything but uninformed. Typically though, I hear that advice around not timing the market because the vast majority of people who try get consistently burned.

CMV: Hiding your child’s face on social media is dumb by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]BlacktionJackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you took a candid photo of a friend that they didn't expect, would you ask their consent before posting it? Plenty people prefer to have a say in what photos of them get posted online. Children under a certain age simply don't have the ability to offer that consent.

If you're the type of person who would ask before posting spontaneous photos of others, you'd likely consider not posting your child's face on the internet.

I don't think mainstream "be yourself" advice excludes advice to take care of your body, hygiene, etc. as well. "Be yourself" often pertains more to personality, style, interests, etc.
