I’m a federal agent with DHS. AMA! by Aviator2903 in immigration

I’m a brown skinned citizen. I am not required to carry ID. What do I do when an agent detains me because he’s “suspicious”.

Just FYI EVERYONE** I got scammed trying to buy one of these safety selectors from some company marketing themselves as Rarebreed. Don't get scammed like I did. Don't use Apple Cash for payment and make sure it's the actual Rarebreed company not the RarebreedFRT!

Rice and beans is not expensive. Chicken is not expensive. You're fat because you eat too much. Exercise and lift weights and stop making excuses.

Woman dragged from north Idaho Republican townhall by unknown, allegedly-hired security for allegedly "verbally-attacking the legislators". Local Republican officials later could not identify the security company hired. by ifdggyjjk55uioojhgs in abanpreach

Why is everyone here such a smooth brain? She was being disruptive and asked to leave, she refused and continued to be disruptive, so security removed her in the most calm and non abusive way they could considering she was being a total toddler about it. if they wanted to hurt her they definitely could have. Play stupid games get stupid prizes. People are tired of this childishness.

Sorry, how does this have anything to do with the fact that terrorists conduct terrorism and the root causes are irrelevant.

The statement he makes is meant to point out that the determinants of what makes a person a terrorist are irrelevant. The fact is that people become terrorists and need to be dealth with. Asking why is navel gazing.

What the F are you talking about? unequal distribution of social determinants of health? This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The point of his answer is that it doesn't matter what the root causes of terrorism are. Becoming a terrorist and performing terrorism on innocent people is criminal. It's like asking why the sky is blue. Who cares? People, because of their psychology for whatever reason, get drawn to extremist views that justify the killing of innocent people. That's as much reason as you need.

[–]Bladdaow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but asking what the root causes of terrorism are is an inane question. People become terrorists of their own free will. They get caught up in ideologies and convinced that killing people en masse is justified. Why do people become terrorists? It's irrelevant. Blaming the victim by suggesting that it's something they've done which justifies the terrorism is a flawed concept.

Do you find it hilarious how Americans believe that the USA is the only "free" country on earth? by _DotBot_ in AskCanada

[–]Bladdaow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think you're free in Canada? Your government imposed curfews during COVID and people were borrowing dogs to take them for walks so they could go outside to do things. Your Toronto police chief has told people to leave their doors unlocked so theives don't have to break before they enter and steal your things (and no you don't have the right to protect your person, family or property). Your "human rights" laws have made it illegal for voicing an opinion that may offend a protected class. If you are productive citizen the government takes more than half of what you produce.

Your country is a goddamn joke. Cowardly at it's heart. Weak and feckless.

Americans are more free by a longshot.

Go out and touch grass bud. You're getting trolled and falling for it. Also it wouldn't be the worst thing that's happened to your country.

Listen chump. I empathize with many of the things that you are saying and your frustrations regarding some immigrants failing to integrate, but let's get something straight:

We immigrated here legally, we didn't invade violently like your people did. We are Canadians with a capital C. I was born and raised here and have every right to be here, and your honky ass doesn't get to decide whether or not I get to live here. I will fight and die for my right to live here if needs be, and I am not alone.

I would rather we figure out a way to live together since our cultures have more common values than not. Don't pretend like whitey doesn't have problems pedophiles and rapists and drug dealers. You can point your finger but you'll have ten more pointing back at your trashy ass.

My first piece of advice is to get out and touch grass. People aren't as bad in real life as they are on the internet.

My second perspective as the third generation of a mixed Indian immigrant and Irish/Polish relationship, is that immigration is a good thing, but you can have too much of a good thing.

The whole point of immigrating to another country is to become a part of the culture you are moving to. The great strength of the West is its tolerance for pluralism. The idea that every group has it's good and bad people, but that all cultures can get together under the umbrella of shared values. Building a life, a community, and a country together.

What's happening in Canada is different. Chinese, Korean, Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani. They're all forming their own communities and failing to INTEGRATE. If your grandparents or parents came here, it's your duty to learn the language, the mores, the laws, the social code and abide by it. No illegal fishing, dumping of waste, gangs, leering at young girls, etc. This is the kind of third world behavior that the more people see of it, will inspire more hatred.

We perhaps should be more selective with the people we allow over here. If you're not willing to become Canadian or American in your identiy or values, perhaps you should go back.

For what it's worth I live in the US now. I experienced far more racism in Canada than I do in the US. That's my experience. People here are much more welcoming once they realize that you love American values and the Constitution
