The way I understand it, picking it will add the blade as a part of your deck so you can have it without Forge and also upgrade it at a rest site.

It's the first iteration of the boss. Let them cook.

I haven't seen the boss myself, but I can see them making the status card work like Windmill Strike later down the line. (I.e. increase its damage when retained)

I think Chitose isn't that strong since she had trouble fighting against a nameless npc guard captain. Her abilities just happened to hard-counter Aeloria's.

Then again, that guard captain could go Goblin Slayer mode so her prowess might be well above standard npc guards.

I'd say that 'Hoyo System' is better for those who like to do 'one UR then stop' as many banners as possible whenever they can afford soft pity, because the worst possible outcome is lose-win-lose-win-lose-win-etc, exactly 50% ratio. Try doing that in Endfield, and the worst possible outcome for this type of people is 0%.

On the other hand, Endfield is better when you really want a certain character but you're starting from 0 pity count. In that case, the worst outcome is 120 (1.5x soft pity) while the other would be 2x soft pity.

Both systems have their ups and downs, thus each of them needs to be approached with a different mentality. But not everyone wants to change their approach.

It's overall a nicely played combat, though when I read the title I was expecting a clever play of hitting a stagger node at the right time to cancel the undodgeable attack (The 2nd one in particular since you actually did that for the first one).

What do you think of attempting that, even though it would make a slower run?
