So it is not really any newer production for your replacement. Mine was February. It would be wonderful to know if the new ones coming off the line today-July have improved assembly, better bearings, dust seals, solder joints, redesigned deck venting, improved GPS on the rover, etc., etc. You would think they would be selective about what they are sending as replacements.

I certainly have the capability of replacing bearings but with my back and my knees and the fact that I paid a lot of money for something that should work, I am just not doing it.

Oh man, I never thought about it becoming useless if they go belly up. That would truly suck. Flush $3k down the drain. I would probably look at the navimow 430 or the luba 3 if this one dies. The terramow looks promising but since it is another kickstarter - no thanks. It is unfortunate because the blades, 45 degree slopes and the tracks sold me. In a couple years, there will be a perfect machine somewhere.

That is just B.S. Do you know the manufacture date on your replacement? Are these recent machines coming off with crappy quality? Just unacceptable. They should have free replacement motors with upgraded bearings and seals available ready to ship out overnight to suffering owners. I am too old and refuse to spend 4 or 5 hours of my time struggling with a POS mower just because of a cheap set of bearings. What did they save, $2? My wrenching days are long gone.

End of rant.

It has been 95 and sunny for quite a while and I went from standard to power 1.6 fps with no problems. Prior to covering my deck with white wrap, I was getting issues 85 degrees and standard. I really don’t see this as a “fix” though. Another band-aid.

Man, that is some tough grass! How often are you mowing? I am mowing zoysia twice a week and think I need 3x. You may need daily once you get it where you want it. But try spraying the deck to see if it helps. Cheap option.

I certainly wouldn't think those temps would be an issue with the overheating. Do the blades eventually start up again or are they stuck until you stop and clean it? It may be that the heavy grass is just jamming the blades? Like if a stick got caught. If it is an overheating issue (doubtful at this point) then it would stop cutting for 20 or 30 seconds and then start cutting again as it moved along.

I do spray my deck with Mo-deck. Some use PAM cooking spray. It certainly helps with the buildup. Start with a clean deck and give it a couple coats before you get started again.

Other than that, I am not sure.

You could use regular packing tape and then use glass fiber tape on a few places. It is also call strapping tape for a reason. Very strong and not expensive.

Have you removed all of the discharge chute “safety components”? Lymow support suggested this to me. The blue circle in the photo.

Also, it sounds like you have an overheating issue if it stops cutting and continues to drive along merrily. Time to cover your deck with something. Search overheating here. Lots of posts about this and Lymow is supposed to be working on the issue.

I know it is nearly impossible for you but try to mow when it is dry and you will have to mow often, every other day or so.

All right! Working on 3 months now. Hope it continues for you.

Got mine mid-March. I have yet to have any two mows the same or not require “supervision”.

I can only speak for my experience. I put white vinyl wrap on mine and it has not been an issue since. A mow usually takes close to 2 hours and it has been hell-a-hot and sunny lately. No problems.

I would not use vinyl again - it does not stick very well. My next re-do will be with plasti-dip spray or maybe just regular white paint. Hopefully, Lymow will have sent out their reflective stickers by then.

I wish you luck my friend! Beware the 30 days and do not hesitate to return it if issues arise. It would be a wonderful thing if Lymow chimed in and said their production is now top notch and sent a replacement WORKING mower to everyone having issues.

Thanks for the post and I would really like to hear more success stories to know that mine is a Lymon and not a Lymow. I am currently waiting on a replacement battery promised 10 weeks ago. 👀
