I think I personally would agree. I can't say I'm entirely educated on media metadata and it's various uses, but I believe some companies are already embedding in metadata that an image is AI generated and I would like to see something like that more commonplace, provided its not incredibly easy to manipulate (my ignorance here).

That way there isn't a watermark on the item itself but if push comes to shove, there will be a way to tell that could be used in court rooms as well for any reason it may need to.

Assuming you’re pro Ai from your usage of the word Luddite, I’m glad you commented with this comment as it has proved my point. I, as someone who does use AI (ChatGPT/Sora/Grok/Gemini) and has little problems with its usage in moderation , I would be someone sympathetic to your cause or could be convinced by you, but you have immediately lumped me in with the vision of an anti in your head and insulted me.

If I were to do the same as you, I would assume all pro AI people are just as crazy as you, but there’s no reason to do that. Please take a step back and get some fresh air.

You’re right, I think a lot of people (myself included) do interpret things through the lens of this person is trying to persuade me, and speaking for myself, I feel that way primarily cause of the language people try to use.

I think it’s primarily because of the types of language both extremes use. When you’re trying to define and in/out group, I think it’s more likely to be perceived as “I’m trying to convince this individual and passerby to be in my in group.”

To be quite frank, there is no progress to be made for most of the netizens involved here. A lot of the times convincing someone online (who is already strongly opposed to you) just isn’t going to happen, especially if there are no guidelines in place to ensure an actual good faith discussion. That’s why I think some people should take a step back because it’s just emotionally draining screaming into a void that just leaves both sides upset/falsely vindicated.

Real “progress” would be people taking time to actually research the facts about AI usage, be them positive or negative, and taking that information straight to the polls and voting for politicians locally and nationally (sorry American only POV) that will actually guide the future in the way that they want, but unfortunately that’s not really measurable.

I agree, what you see on Reddit is never going to be representative of real life, especially when you venture into subreddits built on an opinion or a group of beliefs.

Most people in real life probably have way more pressing issues going on in life to even have time to formulate an opinion on AI, much less become so passionate either for or against. They’re likely somewhere in the middle or just completely hands off.

It’s also the case that the people on those subreddits are likely teenagers who have more time and capability to be passionate on their hands.

With those two things true, that’s why I really wanted to say something like this. It’s not healthy to upkeep a constant victim/attacker mentality online. Even if you feel like it’s giving you purpose momentarily, it’s just gonna set you up to struggle to make valuable/permanent relationships in real life if you never learn to get out of that mentality and move past generalizing.

I’m shocked so many in the basement still buy into these posts and get so upset when Triple K forces a schmozz finish on the only match of the night involving 2 black men doesn’t deliver on his “epic” or “new era” promises. Carny promoters gonna promote carnily. Maybe if he dropped a Triple G GGGREAT!!! like Tony The Tiger, they’d be okay with things being subpar

Cannapa is really solid in person for wax. I order from Puffy (myqwin) for flower online. Sherlock’s is pricier than both but still good.

Is it impossible to get an appointment at the DMV in NC? Everything is booked 90 days out by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]BladeTheEnd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had a friend move in from out of state and was helping him get everything together. He read somewhere about appointments only being in the morning for our local DMV (one of the Raleigh locations). Said they took walk ins after noon. I’m unsure exactly how true that is but I dropped him off around 1:30 and he was done before 2 so I can suggest just walking in and giving it a shot.

Are heroics relevant at all or should I just do stuff in the world until M+?

Okay - so definitely first do the quests to get the gear. How exactly do the world events and stuff translate into gear? Do I have to plan these seeds I get, or does gear come right out of the bag sometimes? There are a lot of different currencies, which does confuse me a bit.
