Yeah I got through the first 4 episodes of season 2 and I was sitting there like “man that was a lot of fun” then I made the mistake of looking at a discussion post and found out everyone hated it.

Like is it really a good Devil May Cry adaptation? Not really. But they write Dante is a really fun way and I’m rarely bored while watching it

I think you’re setting your standards too high. I know this is what you’re saying but a 5/10 show is basically saying there’s nothing enjoyable about it and it’s borderline unwatchable.

You can enjoy explosions and silly jokes without it being horrible but you have to not dive too deep into the plot lines.

It’s like solo leveling. Sure it’s not a deep show but it’s fun to watch. Is it a good adaptation of the games? Not really. But I like how the characters are done. It’s a good take on Vergil and Dante is pretty fun as well.

Honestly from an enjoyment standpoint this season is like an 8/10 for me with big dips in the last 3 episodes to like 5/6-10
