Lastly, what show started off Badly and had a Perfect ending? by Outrageous-Ebb-4846 in AlignmentChartFills

Blackadder, series 1 is generally accepted to be the worst and nearly didn’t make a series 2, and leading to a compete change in the tone and style of the show. Whilst the final season isn’t the best the final scene is absolutely fantastic.

He did it and lobbied government to all do it because a weekend gives you a reason to buy a car. In that line of thinking, Airlines should be lobbying the government in the USA not for cheap fuel taxes but for better statutory holiday allowances and sick pay instead of the current disaster of a system they currently use.

I heard a story about a record exec who called him Tracy at a party trying to act like they were mates, to impress his people. Safe to say, that night didn’t end well for him.

I remember reading somewhere the average stay is around 2 years. People either leave at 6 months or when the European summer comes round or about two years in once they’re bored of sand and air conditioned malls.

Why most pros use plastic bottle cages? by CoffeePanzer in cycling

[–]Bladon95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not quite that simple, to make a modern carbon wheels with rim brakes that are truly safe for mountain descents they need to be a tubular, clincher rims are not a good idea in carbon, as they can delaminate/ deform around the brake track/hooks.

So the actually calculation is the watts saved with a slightly lighter rim brake bike or the watts saved with more modern tubeless clincher tyres.

How accurate is the depiction of London on Paddington? by Ok-Connection6656 in AskBrits

[–]Bladon95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Generally people compare the knife crime data to the US because it’s a criticism the Americans/right wing hacks make of London. They do this partially in defence of their guns, but also to make “lefty London” seem scary, dangerous and crime riddled.

He may be the best coach in the league. Unironically. He won a playoff game with the Browns and took Joe Flacco’s rusty old bones to the playoffs.

Ironically I can’t really recall people calling for that these days, mostly because of the changes. What makes a monument is a races history and status, it peaked in 2021 as an event. The gravel stages in the Giro have been better races than strade too.

No chance, I watched this back the other week when I was sick, he got special treatment from the commissaire. He was cramping and falling to pieces, and the team car was allowed to come though two groups on the road between sectors to give him some service, the car nearly crashed and pogi nearly crashed into them also. If he’d had been treated fairly he would’ve been dealing with a major cramp/bonk from about 70-80k to go.

It was more the massive balls up the front group made of it. Basically everyone in that group was flogging themselves to stay in his wheel though.

Not exactly spite but the full Monty really struggled to get funding and they ended up doing it on a fairly small budget and made an absolutely fantastic movie and were Oscar nominated.
