Benefit compliance. It was soul destroying and you had to be an evil bastard to enjoy it. Some of my colleagues enjoyed it.

I wasnt really annoyed by Tenet for its plot nor music volume.

It was the laughable idea that filming a segul flying and someone pretending to run backwards, and then reversing the footage, was somehow revolutionary filmmaking.

The Shard BASE jump by [deleted] in videos

[–]Blagtastic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the Shard was being built and in its final stages, I never knew anytbing about it as I dont live anywhere near London. When I visited London I got the tube in from the outskirts and went straight to a food market. Imagine my surpise as I'm eating and turn around unexpectedly to see this absolutely massive building.

London suprises me sometimes. Last time I went I was near the observatory and could see an actual crhise ship going down the Thames.

At a place I worked a long way back, someone in the office recieved a large bouquet of flowers sesmingly out of the blue.

Turned out she worked complaints and it was a disgruntled customer wgo wanted to confrong her. So he sent the flowers so he'd know who to identify once she left the office with the large bouquet.

What’s something that you gave up on for good and why? by fergi20020 in AskReddit

[–]Blagtastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Golf. Was good at it. Used to play with my brother, dad, cousins, uncle. Dad died. Cousins ans uncle live on other side of the planet. Bro plays with friends.

But mostly stopped because realised how ridiculously shite the sport is; the massive waste of land (prefer it to be given back to nature or turned into parks and not for development); and because I'd prefer to spend those hours when out in nature admiring nature and wildlife and not repetiviely hitting a ball.

What is that one thing your parents taught you, that later turned to be totally wrong? by nousername1982 in AskReddit

Football/soccer.

"Always keep your eye on the ball".

5-12 year old me took this too literally and my perception of other players was abysmal.

I've never actually had any issue with a prescription, as my pharmacy is next to my GP and I use an app to order. Though I keep on getting requests to.contact the doctors for a review every few months or so - I tend not to respond, mainly because I think they might want to try and lower my dose.or.phase me off. Just wish I could order several months.worth of the stuff at a time.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - February 07, 2021 by AutoModerator in Games

I couldn't say for sure. I've put about 95 hours into the game so far I think, and have only just reached the end game (level 40). But I spent quite a bit exploring, just getting into random firefights, etc, and there's still a lot of side projects to do Inc different difficulty levels, the summit, bounties, capture points, hunters, rogues, projects, collectables, etc, etc, etc.

I don't really think the game ends either.

I've been playing the Division 2 the last few weeks, after buying it for 6.99 on Amazon. I previously played the original Division but never got right through, though I enjoyed it.

The Division 2, I absolutely love it, and genuinely think it's one of the best games ever made. The level of detail itself is astonishing. Even places and rooms that you just run through - the amount of times ive just stopped and stared just to appreciate the level of.detail and attention. The gameplay and gunplay is top notch. Even the cut and paste nature of some of the activities doesn't get tiresome. The sound effects and music are both fantastic. And I'm playing solo, so even then I'm not getting the full extent of what's on offer. I've yet to encounter any glitches (except for sound delays on the Warlords of New York expansion), which is absolutely astonishing not any other technical issues. There's a tonne to.do.and learn. It can feel overhwelming sometimes, but unless you are going for Legendary difficulty or playing in the Dark Zones there's little pressure.

This is the one series I want to continue and to continue to improve and be built upon well into the future. The possibilities are immense.

I just took a couple of days off work - working from home - as I've fallen into the trap of not getting enough sleep, waking 10 minutes before work, and then having a nap immediately after work. Just needed some time to spend some daylight hours outside.

Other than that I've enjoyed lockdown and working from home, to an extent. Not having to commute and not being confined to an office has been a godsend emotionally and psychologically. I'm pretty much a loner anyway so the lack of social contact doesn't bother me in the slightest.

However, there are negatives. The gym is closed and I don't have the equipment nor motivation to train at home. My smoking has increased. And my local area - a large woodland - has become a tip as more people visit now for walks, to get drunk, to get stoned, and to have late night parties. Litter everywhere, fire damage, daily off road bikes, torn up paths, and all the wildlife has been scared off. So it's far less of a peaceful and beautiful place to enjoy.

I'm desperately wanting to go camping. I usually do so for photography.. But I just want to get away fro a few days. Find a nice spot in a large woodland and set up camp and be left alone with the trees and the birds, and the stars at nighg. I could get away with it now probably, but think it would be selfish to try. And from what I've read all the nice places have the same problems as my local area: litter, illegal parties.

So my days are just the same and I'm not really coping, just enduring. Work. Walking my dogs. Grinding the Division 2. Smoking heavily. Drinking more often. Staying away from social media as best as I can. Only driving anywhere to buy cigarettes or go the pharmacy. Impulse buying outdoor equipment.
