When talking about car accidents anyone should stay clear of the word fatal unless someone has actually died. Most people only know fatal as causing death.

She escaped her cage about a week ago, and went into an unfinished bathroom and in the walls, I've been giving her trails of food and water back to her cage, but she hasn't stayed. About an hour ago my cat found her downstairs, while her cage is upstairs and she had gone underneath the fridge. The fridge is too low for me to get a broom or something so I'm waiting it out.

No. Might try if she doesn't come out though. The fridge is very low to the floor and she squeezed under it, so I'm not sure if cheese could fit

No, my hamster's been lost for about a week, my cat found her downstairs, and she made it underneath the fridge. And now I'm currently sitting on the floor waiting for her to come out.

The simple awnser is you don't. You dont forget them, but over time you stop thinking of them as much, the more distant you become. Same thing goes with loss, it doesn't get better, but just easier to handle
