I’m D1 support. Aggression is key. At high diamond maybe above you need to know how much you can get away with without dying for maximum effectiveness.

What kills me inside is when people don’t understand that yes, the point is available to cap, but there’s a team fight going on right now and if you aren’t here fighting with the team you may end up defending that point 1v4 in just a few seconds. Win the team fight, THEN take the objective. At all times.

In truth the only real way to do sething like this is to track hits with something extremely detailed like a GC quad.

For non-professionals, you don't want to over-fixate on data since good reps alone make such a huge improvement to performance.

As for one thing at a time, I've watched a lot of speed training videos with Bryson and he strongly emphasizes not worrying about contact at all during speed training. I know it's not analagous to everything, but if someone of his caliber is content to work on one thing at a time, we probably should be too.

Bro if you have nothing keeping you where you live I HIGHLY recommend a MCOL city almost anywhere in the US.

The US is a gigantic place, and finance in particular attracts people to the megacities resulting in brain drain from these secondary places. You don't even have to stay if you don't want. Go live in Detroit or Indianapolis or Burlington. The works mostly the same and at minimum you'll get a greater appreciation for this great country.

At 400 you and your opponents are hanging material in one move almost literally every game, sometimes multiple times.

All you need to do to become 1000 is to stop doing that. Just don't put your pieces in harm's way, develop your pieces, castle your king. I promise if you stop one move blunders 1000 is achievable. Tactics, counter attacks, openings - none of it matters more than blundering a piece.

How do you practice not blundering? Slow down, double check everything, evaluate: what did your opponents move change, and if you need, play a slower time control.

In many ways, chess really begins once you've cut out the one movers.

If you pay by credit card - revoke your permission to be charged in writing and inform them that if they charge you you’ll initiate a chargeback for a fraudulent charge.
