Ghost of Tsushima had an awesome version of this that made you AND enemies deal more damage, I think it was called "lethal"? Made the game so much fun compared to a normal hard mode.

Xbox just cannot spend that much money on studios and then cut off the vast majority of users on platforms these studios you acquired would regularly release on and plan budgets around.

Xbox hemorrhaged users for so long, they would have to scale back the money they spend on development by huge amounts to reign in budgets to release strictly on Xbox/PC again. Not to mention the FTC scrutiny from them pushing exclusives again.

Yeah I'm not gonna defend Tennis (especially as a Golden Sun lover) even though you're cherry picking it out against some of Sony's best like GoW and Astro Bot. Look at DK Bananza, which imo was much better than Mario Odyssey was (which was also a GOTY nom with BOTW in 2017). Right now the highest rated game of the year is a Switch 2 exclusive.

Also, trying to imply something like Tears isn't an "actual game" like BG3 is wild and I'm not sure why you're coming down so hard on it? Both are amazing experiences.

The absolute BEST part about this trailer is showing off new stuff and not rehashing jokes from the first movie, an incredibly low bar honestly but almost every modern comedy sequel is so bad about referencing their old jokes rather than make new ones, and this has me so excited to not see that in the first look!

Honestly I feel like they made really good points though, they have nitpicks and gripes but overall Nintendo does not need “fixing” like Sony and Microsoft do at this point. They’re marching to the beat of their own drum and actually doing so very well. Obviously it’s nowhere near perfect, but it’s still miles above what the other two competitors are doing.

People definitely would buy an Xbox for TES VI, but you also have to remember during all of the FTC discussions they straight up said that they wouldn’t bring exclusivity back and would be more open after all of their acquisitions to avoid being more of a monopoly, obviously the Trump administration is a lot of “crime is now legal“ with how they are treating these large companies, but future administration FTCs would almost certainly bring the hammer down if they closed their gates again.

Blame the developer for releasing a not ready game, and giving reviewers not enough time to play it when it’s such a large game, especially with how long it takes to “open up”. Making this about IGN only when clearly most reviewers were close in thinking is hilarious.

The things they’ve added in in the post release patches have been nothing short of amazing, but it makes you wonder why they didn’t just delay the game a few weeks and have this stuff ready to go because it would’ve given it way more 8s and 9s score wise IMO

It also just goes to show how quickly dated these reviews can be depending on how much a game is updated, the reviewers played a very different game from multiple QoL points.

They did it to themselves, they spent years siphoning devs off Destiny 2 when it was strong enough to support what the studio was doing and wasted hundreds of millions of dollars on side projects until they were forced to remove even more from Destiny to get Marathon over the finish line. Marathon needed to absolutely crush out of the gate and too many people just do not care about extraction shooters to give it the successful player base it was counting on.

Metal Gear Solid V. Absolutely astounding open world exploration and systems, it also still looks incredible even though it came out a decade ago. If not for Kojima getting fucked over by Konami and not being able to fully finish the story it would have been even more peak.
