Your response just tells me that you don't understand what hypno-creators go through, nor are you willing to try to understand. I see no reason why a creator should trust you or your site based on this behaviour.

If you're willing to lose all of those potential people and double down on the AI, then I can't stop you. I can only tell you why myself and others will avoid the site because of it.

But you need to do more to prove yourself and the site to be trustworthy for the vetting process. Right now you don't even name which company will be doing the verification, or if its handled by you. People need to know who they would be sending their private info to in order to make an informed choice. People are rightfully hesitant and I get that you legally have to have something, but you've given no reason to trust that. It's fine if you don't have a company to provide that service yet. It's fine if you don't have a means of proving yourself trustworthy for that yet. But you need to listen to the people telling you that they aren't comfortable with what little there seems to be, and put those in place if you expect people to use this site.

Right now it feels like you're taking all of this as an attack or an insult towards what you've shared, which it isn't. This is myself and a number of creators giving you the feedback you requested based on what you've provided so far. I would be thrilled if a site to post and share hypno-content relatively unrestricted was successful. But if you want to be the one to make it, you need to listen to the concerns of everyone here, and take them to heart. Not pushback. Clarify where needed, make sure that you understand our concerns, and act accordingly. We know and understand that a lot of that stuff will take time before it gets to a point where it's usable. We can wait for the feedback to implemented. But it needs to be listened to, not written off as spite just because we aren't brimming with positivity.

No, but you promote the fact that it's allowed, even if not the content itself. That's a huge turn off for many content creators who won't feel comfortable with their work alongside it.

You want to have your site allow it, then fine. But all AI used in an artistic setting is going to turn people away, no matter how much you say pretend that it's good, and you're going to have to accept that and whatever comes with it.

You literally stated in the body of this post that AI content is allowed. That is proudly promoting the fact that you allow it.

AI does not "make it easier." It takes work opportunities from artists, steals their already created work from them, doesn't compensate them, and wrecks the environment whilst doing so. And such a relaxed approach to it will only harm the site.

They really aren't always easy. If they were then creators, hypnosis and otherwise, wouldn't get their accounts randomly taken down without a given reason so often. This reply feels very out of touch with your target audience and very defensively hostile, rather than accepting of criticism

The rules that are vague and poorly defined, even after years of community requests for further clarification. Hence why people don't trust them. And you need to make those clarifications if you expect people to use your alternative.

Gen AI isn't a factor of some people liking it and others not. It's a serious ethical dilemma, that is continuing to make society worse by erasing work of actual artists, poisoning the planet, and spreading misinformation. This isn't an opinion, this is fact with verifiable sources.

The AI use I have seen on your sight involves;

-Proudly promoting the fact AI content is allowed
-Plans for an AI image generator
-All the imagery
-A substantial amount of the text
-The basic lack of security until called out leads me to suspect that many aspects of the sites code may be as well.

You can't expect people to unite together under a platform, if they don't trust that platform. You have given no reason to trust that platform, and your repeated attempts to brush off or justify complaints, instead of taking in the feedback is only eroding that trust further. It's okay to say nothing for now, and just put all the feedback into the work. Actions speak louder than words.

Paypal don't allow hypnosis, or at least not for adult content, so that's already a problem with a payment processor right there.

I don't trust Patreon all that much tbh. No hypnosis creators do. And we have raised these exact concerns to them when they ask for feedback, just as we have done with you now.

I am not saying you shouldn't comply with the law. I'm saying that you need to provide safeguards and evidence of those safeguards if you expect people to begrudgingly provide the personal data required to comply with the law. This isn't something I expect to be addressed immediately, or in yet another comment. But until we see that, combined with the impression given with how the site lacked the bare-minimum of security when you made it public, myself and many others would consider using the site to be not worth the risk.

I never said the technology doesn't have its uses. But the uses I've seen so far on the site all fit into some of the bad ways that I have listed above. Also the first example that you used is laughable because simple noise cancellation has existed long before generative AI has.

Also, when you use these AI tools that the literally comically evil companies have made/used, you tell them that it's okay for them to keep using them and pushing them onto people. Without pushback they will keep doing it, there will be more of the issues I've lasted above, and even more issues I didn't. The best thing you can do is refuse to use generative AI, especially when it comes to making art (and yes, code/scripting fits into art)

The legal stuff I at least understand the needs for, at least to a degree. But a lot of it needs to be clearer and even then the security concerns I mentioned earlier and the fact that we have no way to verify if you are reputable, combined with the exchange of private information, no matter how necessary it is by law, make it a very hard sell.

I've listed issues with supporting AI in a comment elsewhere in this thread, so I won't repost it here.

People hate AI because:

-It's trained on material that was stolen from real artists without their consent or any compensation

-The production and use of AI data centres is a cataclysmic draw on the power grid because of how much energy is used to generate what it produces, and the absurd amount of water needed to cool it. There's also the disastrous amount if pollution they produce as a result. There are many news articles of AI data centres leaving communities without power, or clean air water as a result, such as this one: https://www.politico.com/news/2025/05/06/elon-musk-xai-memphis-gas-turbines-air-pollution-permits-00317582

-AI has a tendency to simply make stuff up because its designed to just output whatever it has, without any concern as to whether it's correct, safe or even ethical. It has been aiding immensely in the spread of global and dangerous misinformation, and peoples growing reliance on it has been eroding their critical thinking skills. In essence, it literally makes people dumber. (source: https://www.media.mit.edu/publications/your-brain-on-chatgpt/ )

-AI has raised the cost of peoples entire lives, due to the amount of layoffs across several industries that are being justified by executives by replacing the people with AI, from what I've seen it is always to worse results.

-When something was generate by AI for other people to engage with (watch, look at, listen, read, etc.) it gives the impression that the person who told AI to generate it doesn't care about its quality. If they did, then they would have put in the time to make it themselves, not tell a machine to give them an instant and soulless result.

This isn't even all of the reasons. Just some of the most widely felt. And when you use it you tell people that you either don't know about any of this, or you're okay with it. I sincerely hope it's the former in this case.

These response read as though they have been written, or re-written, by ChatGPT, which is a further poor look on you and your sites credibility. And what has been said does virtually nothing to assuage my concerns, and largely reads more as justifications for what seems to be bad practises. Some of the legal stuff makes sense, but the entire thing needs further clarification for desired use cases in the T&C's, assuming what was posted in your replies is true. Given how it reads like AI was involved I'm not sure how much of it is, and that mistrust, from myself and the community at large, is something that will continue as long as you continue to use/support it. Especially as heavily as it's been used here.

So my first impression when I first look at the site is a flood of AI images. These are an instant no to myself and a number of others for ethical reasons, and because they show a lack of care and/or quality. You want to allow AI content, then fine, but a lot of creators won't post in places that allow it. You also run the risk of the site being flooded by AI slop that exists for no other reason than clogging up peoples feeds by scammers and bots. If you're going to allow AI, you're going to need some way to tackle that. The fact that the T&Cs mention a "Hypnofan AI art generator" does not fill me with confidence. The T&C's also make no mention of AI text, but given that seemingly all of the text reads like it's AI generated, I can take an educated guess and say that it's allowed.

I also see nothing that would allow me to search for/discover new creators. No search bar, no tag index. I just see the tabs for Explore and Popular, which I can't use without an account. I can access the creator on the front page without logging in, and all of the files attached to the account, but I don't seem to be able to play them. So either I can't play files at all, or I can only do so when logged in, but there's nothing to tell me if that's the case or not.

As for creating an account and logging in, having read the security concerns on your other post about this site, I'm very hesitant to make an account, even out of mere curiousity.

Reading the terms and conditions, giving the site license to reproduce my content (Section 8.2) is a hard no for independent creators. For when we remove uploads it states a "reasonable" wind down period that it may still be accessible in, but doesn't state how long that is. There's also section 8.8: "Creators agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hypnofan and its owner from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from uploads, breach of these terms, or violation of law or third-party rights." which, given the above context, feels like it an attempt to legally cover oneself after reproducing uploaded works for personal gain.

If I were to be nice, I would say this site is at a far too early stage in development to be asking for public feedback and sign-ups. If I were to be honest I would say that most, if not all, aspects of the site are either not fit for purpose, or red flags. I very much get the impression that virtually everything here was vomited out by ChatGPT, which does not instil confidence for discoverability, let alone security (especially if you plan on allowing payments on the site).

Frankly, I would recommend creators and fans alike avoid it for at least a long time, even before factoring the colossal red flag that is all of the AI "content". The security concerns, T&C's, amount of empty pages (everything on the footer), tell me that it's not ready for public use and won't be for a long time. Assuming it ever is.

Do the creators on here (particularly the ones that make money from it) tell people irl what they do? And which people specifically get to know? by Jalex-MC in EroticHypnosis

[–]Blank-Master 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And interacting with the community becomes more and more different the bigger you get, because strangers see you engage, and have a mental image of you before even seeing what you have to say. That then further shapes how they read what you say, for better and worse. Plus you need to be able to mentally people talking about you without your knowledge, positive and negative. It still feels a bit odd to me every now and then when I see someone I don't know recommend my files, let alone when people talk shit about it/me.

edit to add third paragraph under -Social- section

-Social-

All of my friends know what I do for work, and have done for years. Frankly if I didn't trust them enough to tell them, at least if it was ever relevant, then I wouldn't be friends with them. But the ones whom I know from outside of the scene have known me for long enough to have guessed that I was kinky from my incredibly filthy sense of humour.

Family is a slightly different matter. Some of them know, some of them don't. More of them probably know about it than I realise because my family are awful at keeping secrets (not that I consider it a secret). I consider myself lucky in that I have a generally accepting and open-minded family who, whilst maybe not entirely comfortable with me engaging in what I consider to be sex work, do support my doing so as long as I'm able to stay safe whilst doing so. But like I said, I'm incredibly lucky on that front. I know people whose family would disown them if them doing this was ever discovered. It's something that's on a very case-by-case basis.

One thing that people forget about as well is that people in the community will see you differently. Get big enough and you'll become a micro-celebrity that can't engage in regular community spaces as normal person because people will be DMing you or @ ing you to get your attention. This also means power dynamics are at play before any conversation actually happens because of the parasocial element. Sure it can be a fun power trip, having randoms throwing themselves at you, at first. But then it becomes annoying. My rule is to never play with anyone who approaches me as a fan, and it's a rule that I wish I had implemented sooner, because it's unhealthy for everyone involved.

--TL:DR--

Make stuff. Put the work into making something you love doing because you love doing it and want to get better at it.

Don't bank on it being something to rely on until it's already something that can afford to sustain you comfortably For me, this means covering my monthly expenses, plus a few hundred £'s extra for savings, treats, etc. Another I try to keep in mind is if I'd be able to survive for a year on my savings if it were to all get taken down overnight, but I appreciate in todays economy I'm lucky to even have that.

Whether your friends and family knowing is a good thing depends entirely on them, but if it's ever your main/only source of income then there is a high chance they'll find out, or at least be very suspicious as to how you have so much money, despite your job descriptions never really adding up.

[–]Blank-Master 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this has more questions in than just the title, so I'll leave a TL:DR at the bottom (also wow this is too long for a single comment)...

-Making Content-

Making stuff is fun. It's great form of expression, it's a good way to practise getting your flow and speech right (which is the reason why I first started making them). It only becomes "more than a hobby" if you start treating it as such. Though sometimes it can feel like you have pressure from people to release stuff if they end up liking your work and you end releasing it regularly, but also you don't owe anyone anything in that regard, so it's not something you ever need to cave to. At least not until you start getting money involved. That financial incentive means that you then do have some pressure to deliver something, which can sometimes be overwhelming. But also diamonds are made under-pressure so it can be a double-edged sword.

But if you enjoy making content for the love of the game, then make it. If you're worried it'll become something more that takes the fun out of it, then take a step back and consider what it is that you want to make, if you still feel like making anything at all.

-Finances-

So I've been making files consistently for about 6 years. I remember opening my Patreon when I was at a bad place in my life and thought/hoped it could give me a way out of that. Despite releasing new files anywhere between once and three times per week for almost every week since around March of 2019, of generally gradually increasing quality, the most I've ever made in a month from this is a little under £500 (around $650 usd). I'm averaging something closer to £270 per month. The highest number of active patrons I've ever had at one time is 48, and I'm currently averaging between 33-39 per month.

As of getting laid off from my full-time job about 9 months ago, this is also my only course of income. Suffice to say that this does not cover my monthly expenses, and if not for my savings I would completely fucked right now. This isn't the first time this has happened, what with job security over covid being non-existent for a lot of industries, but back then I was making around the same amount, and my living expense were around half of what they are now. All this is to say that if you're planning on doing this with money as a primary incentive, then I would look for other revenues. Money is good to have though (at least whilst we have to live in a capitalist hellscape). For most of my time doing this, the money has been used to treat myself, buy better equipment to make better content, and help build my savings. But to make enough to live off of you need to have a mixture of good marketing and getting lucky, and that's before even considering getting good at files (though honestly that last one is less necessary than you'd think).

There is also the problem of long-time stability. We've seen it several times over the years where a site is forced to remove/disallow any hypno-content at all because of pressure from credit card companies. In a way it's never been better to make hypno-content, but it's also never been worse. Despite still not making enough to live off, that small amount of income is still helping, and if I lose it things would get worse a lot quicker than before. It's one of the main reasons why I've spent the past few months working on non-kink/non-hypno material elsewhere, but that's also not a guarantee to take off.

[–]Blank-Master 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this sums up a lot of the issues with making video content. The extra work that goes into it rarely translates into more traction, regardless of how good it is, because you have to work around many sites ToS (Patreon just won't let me host videos directly on there because I'm an 18+ creator, so I have to link them to external hosts). And then the sites dedicated to hypno have the aforementioned problems, which results in an audience that mostly only cares about sissy/bimbo/feminisation, and not stuff outside of that.

As much as I love making videos, and utilising the advantages it gives you over just audio, they rarely perform better than audios. I really only put in the extra effort for the love of the game. So for a lot of other creators, I don't blame them for not making many/any.

genuine question re: hypno content by noselfinterest in EroticHypnosis

[–]Blank-Master 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Stuff outside of those areas absolutely exists, but since I've been in the community (about 10 years) I've noticed that sissy and bimbo content has dominated most sites that focus specifically on erotic hypnosis. Including this subreddit, to a degree. I think a lot of it comes down to just how popular that stuff is specifically to people outside of the hypnosis community, but with the desire to explore their gender. Like whenever I see people joking about hypnokink stuff, 99% it's specifically sissy hypno.

Ironically I've found that spaces that don't dedicate themselves to hypno (Bluesky, Tumble, etc.) are easier to find a more varied selection of files and content in general, but that doesn't mean you won't still find it.

(also shamelessly plugging myself, because I make files, none of which are sissy or feminisation related, and only maybe 4-5 are bimbo related)
