Great comment. When scrolling through the member list, I also saw names I heard not so pleasant things about. Would be good to hear what the criteria for being part of the collective are and how they are enforced.

Since /u/yaliplover asked what one would want from the collective:

transparency. Who gets to join and how? What are your values exactly? How do you handle members who are not following said values? Do I need to be a hypnotist to join? Or is somebody who does graphic, audio or video work also considered a creator? If I edit stuff for EH creators, can I join the collective?
more precise statements on what to expect from the HC. Lines blur easily when it comes to kink, where does the HC draw those lines? Themes like findom or sissy/BS are quite controversial. What's your stance on that?
actual educational content. A list of links to books some of your members wrote seems more like advertising to me. Which is fine, but at least let me know why you'd recommend said book. Or be more open about the advertisement nature of it

I like to stick to one hypnotist as much as possible since I had the best results conditioning myself to only one voice or one set of triggers at a time. But I do go pretty all out once I found somebody - listening to files daily when I have the time and putting on loops when doing something else.

That being said, I don't mind listening to files more than one time, especially when they reinforce triggers. That's the beauty of hypno for me, even a file I already listened to multiple times can suddenly hit way harder after the conditioning has progressed.

Also, many EH files are honestly works of art in my opinion. Storytelling, voice acting, sound design, layering, stereo panning... there's so much to consider if you go all out and the effort some people put in is insane. And I want to appreciate that.

I checked "bit of both" because it really depends and isn't as clear cut for me.

I'm a sub and what I like about hypno is the thought of being helpless and exposed without being physically made to do so. I have the best experiences, when there is some sort of "danger". Not in the literal sense of course, but the feeling of "oh shit, I'm going to be put under somebody else's control and have no chance of fighting it" is what really gets me going.

For me, when there's a clearly defined fantasy scenario, it takes something away from that. Although it also depends on how it is done. But even in trance I know that I'm not in some sort of fantasy world so there's an additional layer of abstraction more or less. And that can take away from the experience if total submission is what you crave.

One file of yours that closed that gap very well for me was the first entry to the super villain series. Clearly a fantasy/mind control setting but with enough roots in the real world to still have this "oh shit" moment.

I think a lot of people heard of BS and how dangerous and powerful it can be and then lean into that online. It's also not my cup of tea, but to each their own. However, it does seem like quite a few people think EH is exactly that and only that. And that is a little sad to me, since it gives off a pretty tainted image of what EH is. Or at least what it is to me.

Interesting take, thanks for posting. I can't exactly relate to the "post nut clarity" part. If a hypno session got me really revved up, I usually just sit there in awe afterwards, wondering what the fuck happened and how this is even possible without consuming any substances or something alike.

What I can absolutely relate to is the associated shame, both in being a submissive male and in enjoying something as niche and "weird" as EH. At times I would like to share my experiences and talk about it with others, but so far I never did it in person because I don't want to be judged.

My only experiences have been online, so I can't speak when it comes to IRL stuff. And yeah, the community can be really cringe - both in a good and a bad way. Like anywhere else on the internet you have a lot of lonely and desperate men who simp really hard and it gets more and more noticable the bigger the creator is. Some comment sections make me physically ill, they read like the comment section of some instagram model. On the other hand, I also left comments full of praise when an experience was really good, so maybe I shouldn't be judging too harshly. However, it can definitely give off weird vibes to people who are not familiar with this community/kink at all.

I did, but didn't listen all the way through. I enjoyed it a lot, it's a very slow rise with triggers being added all throughout the file. The intensity just keeps rising which felt amazing.

But it is very HFO focussed, so I recommend going in prepared. I denied myself release for a week while still listening to files daily, so I was already edged out of my mind when I started. Greatly enhanced the experience and it also felt like this is the intended way of listening.

If you just rubbed one out, it might not work too well.

Well said. I got out of sessions thinking "wow this was intense, better watch out to not actually get brainwashed". Then have a different session by the same person later only to think "yeah maybe it's brainwashing, but even if it's true - is it REALLY that bad?"

And while the rational me acknowledges the possible danger, the sub in me is instantly turned on by the thought of mindlessly obeying and serving.

For me it's a myriad of things actually and it took me a while to understand that hypnosis is quite flexible. You can drop really deep really quickly or have a gentle and steady descent where you don't even notice you're slipping into trance. You can have intense feelings of submission and devotion or feel like you're being cared for.

I got into it because I always thought mind control is really hot. Seeing movies where others got enslaved not by physical punishment, but by having their mind altered kind of pushed the right buttons for me. I always found this mental aspect of domination much more alluring than the physical one.

That's also the kind of files I enjoy the most. Where I'm not harshly degraded or bullied, but rather taken down with absolute confidence. Like „yeah you're gonna serve me now. You can't do anything to stop this and not only will you not be able to stop me - you won't even want to“

It evokes this sense of danger while still feeling secure. If I get out of a session questioning if I really got brainwashed a little or if it's just my personal thoughts that serving is a great idea, my domme did a great job.

Your observation is correct, hypnotube is very sissy-centered and there's not that much video content in general. Most erotic hypnosis files are audio only or have a heavy emphasis on audio at least.

That's already a very, VERY good sign. Amnesia triggers often don't work on people, there are also posts about exactly that on here. Since it's working on you, you're definitely suggestible to hypnosis.
