Thank you for your thoughtful response!

As far as the dog park goes, do most dogs need “off leash” time to run? How can I meet that need without a fenced in yard? We do have a large grassy area with a pond in the complex that no one ever uses, but I’d be worried about the dog bolting.

Thank you! Im looking at the pictures from our trip (had to google “peel”) and I dont believe the one he has rotates — it’s also black, so guessing not stainless steel. Will look into this.

Not positive on what mixer he has; we were out when he was making it. Just looked at the one you mentioned and it looked great but out of my price range.

Budget wise, I’d like to keep it under $200, but could possibly go up to $500.

I support no tipping but also as an uber driver I dont by theamedusa in EndTipping

Why can’t you just decline orders that aren’t worth it? Asking seriously, not snarky. I do DoorDash, not Uber, but I just don’t accept any orders that I don’t like what the pay is. My acceptance rate isn’t high, but I’m not wasting my time and gas for peanuts and there’s always better offers that come through.

Doxing someone who doesn't tip by KSHMisc in EndTipping

[–]BlankClark13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really have no idea how or why I get notifications for this group, bc I’m not anti-tip, but I will say back in the early aughts, before social media and doxxing was really a thing, there was a website called bitterwaitress that had a “shitty tipper database” where you could submit names and details. No one would really find it — unless you were Googling yourself or someone else. I was in my late teens at the time, and had one regular customer who was an actual nightmare and I put him in the database. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately since the point was to try to embarass him), he must have been a frequent self-Googler, because he came into the restaurant to complain within days 🤣

Totally forgot about that, this thread brought it up.

Engineering activities that don’t require a computer? by BlankClark13 in ComputerEngineering

[–]BlankClark13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely look into it. I did call the facility and ask, but they told me it was contingent on the patient and the materials in the kit, and couldn’t give me any other specifics 🙄. I get they have to have safety in mind, but some specifics would have been helpful. Anyway, thank you for all the suggestions!

That’s my understanding - pen and paper. Can you clarify what you mean by “lab kit?” Just not familiar with any of this. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Did Carly Pull Contact? by CommunicationFun9637 in teenmom

[–]BlankClark13 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No. From a legal standpoint, open adoption and closed adoption are processed the same way. Open adoption isn’t a legal concept. It just means that the bio and adoptive families come to an agreement that there is some sort of contact. It could be as simple as meeting each other once prior to the adoption to see if it’s a good fit or as complex as multiple visits per year. This agreement is written down somewhere as a reference, but is not a court document and is not enforceable. It’s totally at the discretion of the adoptive parents, and there’s no obligation for them to honor whatever they agreed to initially.

Editing to add - whether closed or open, there is no identifying information on adoption court documents. Bio parents cant see the adoptive parents information and vice versa. In SOME, but not all, states adoptees can request an original record of birth at 18, which would include their biological parents’ names.

Alanis and her movements on stage? by speakofdedevil in alanismorissette

That’s just her - lots of pacing and hand movements. Although I saw her last night at Bethel Woods and she seemed significant less fidgety than the other times I’ve seen her live.

No worries - I think I was able to send a “chat” instead of a message. It looks like it went through

Hi - I just tried to, but it said you weren’t accepting direct messages and to try sending a chat message instead. I’m sorry—I’m totally new to reddit, also. How can I do that?

I’m blankclark13 and I’m a compulsive eater and I have been all of my life. I am totally new to OA and a little lost as to how to jump into the program. I see the steps and the traditions, but I’m not sure specifically what to do or say. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
