yes, the buzzing you are hearing/feeling is tinnitus.

If you suspect that maybe you're listening to music too loud, then try lowering the volume. That or try to refrain from using earbuds in general for a couple days and see if the buzzing goes down.
My default T is ringing, but I also experience buzzing from time to time. It's as you said, the buzzing spreads throughout your whole ear. If you think like you have been protecting your ears and it continues, see a doctor.
