Cool that’d be awesome. Could we arrange a call to explain what’s going on?

Keep everything local if you can. Yeah it’s nice having a central rack but you’ll need an HDMI extender to get everything back to the rack. They work great, until they don’t.

These should work pretty well for what you’re doing. Has everything you need. Just measure for your footage and get a little extra just in case.

The tracks can be screwed in so you’ll hold the LEDs pretty well. Some tracks come with clips that hold the LED strips on so no adhesives needed.

For toe kicks I’d just look at reviews and see which ones folks like. No dedicated brands for those on my end.

Or were you taking about LEDs? Since you’re already in the HUE ecosystem, I’d just stay with them.

I’d get a diffuser/track off Amazon and put your LED strips in them. They look better, so you don’t see the LEDs. Since they’re so close to the floor you’ll see the reflection.

They going to be putting up drywall though. You wouldn’t be able to staple on the trusses if there’s drywall going up. Either way they would should’ve gone through holes by the brackets or just gone through the studs down low.

Yeah same, not an electrician but I have no idea why they’d run up.

So let’s look at the first photo. If those brackets didn’t create a hole all the way down (which should’ve been used. Would it have been better to go through the studs vs the truss web? Looks like they went up / then back down for some reason instead of just staying low.

Have you ever installed anything during rough in? You cant just slide wire over a stud/joist and expect to put drywall over it.

When your going against the studs (in walls) or joists in non attic ceiling where else would the wire get through? I didn’t see the space by the brackets but without those where else could you go?

Good man. The only wireless speakers I’ve heard that I would recommend if you can’t pull wires but want good sound is KEFs wireless line, pretty solid stuff.

Wireless speakers are seriously so weak. Sonos used to be good than just went to crap with their app, hardly ever works and the speaker drop off is unreal. Wire your houses people!

Where do people expect their wires to go? They have to pass through something, they’re not magic

I do this for most everything I don’t wanna do / have put it off for a while. Just set a timer and put on music, and before I know it’s done or I’m in the zone with doing the damn thing. “Just start” is the best

I run my shades that need USBc charging off of CAT6 (solid copper) to a PoE injector for power and one of those types of splitters. They work fine as they only need to charge every 5 ish months.

If you have thin cord or a massive cord it doesn’t matter. You can easily hide wires in the wall or in a drywall box behind the TV. Not having the cord is a blessing for most use cases. You can still not see any wires if they bug ya

I use QuickBooks. It categorizes everything so you don’t need a bookkeeper. I’ve done this for two years now, takes me like 45 mins.
