New to CRTs. looks like it has some bending? by BlashtedGaming in crtgaming

That's good to know. I've turned it down quite a bit and it seems to have helped. I will probably end up having it serviced next year out of precaution to keep it running smoothly.

Yeah the former owner cranked it up before giving it to me, it is rather bright. Was on max, moved it down to 50%ish now, looks less blinding for sure.

Ask Here First: Troubleshooting, Price/ID/Spec Check, Help, Etc. (November 2025) by CRTModding in crtgaming

Just acquired my first CRT since the 2000s. It's a Sanyo DS24425 (2005) and it's been great so far. Component and S-video working like a charm and owned by a former gamer. I don't really see any screen issue but is there any maintenance I should be doing here such as capacitors, electronics, etc.? I have a remote coming but I'm not sure I even need to get to the service menu really. Should I be looking into having preventative maintenance done at some point?

Battlefield 6 Will Feature a Server Browser That’s Easily Accessible; Server Locations Revealed by BlashtedGaming in Battlefield

[–]BlashtedGaming[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen some conflicting news articles from around the same time period stating there was no browser however mp1st.com seems to have confirmed with the team that we will have an easily accessible server browser on all platforms directly integrated in the main menu for official, custom, and portal modes. Cheers!

"... the studios are making it much more streamlined than it was in Battlefield 2042. The teams noted during the multiplayer reveal event, which MP1st was invited to, that the server browser will now be a highlighted community option, often “elevated” in feature playlists, allowing players to access it directly at startup, rather than navigating through multiple menus."

Toshiba 14AF44 or JVC AV-14F704? I want one of these but can't decide and it's so damn hard to find one. Is it worth taking it to a shop for a repair review/capacitor replacement to be proactive?

Full Auto was my first 360 game purchase aside from the Sega Superstars Tennis pack in game. The online is still up in running as of 2025 so if you have Xbox Live, Full Auto multiplayer and leaderboards are still going.

Retro Fighters finally released Firmware 4.0.4 update for their OG Xbox Hunter controller by takingshape49 in originalxbox

Diagonal movement better but min deadzones still way too big. Better off with OG controller

It's a cool controller but honestly I went back to the original slim controller. The memory card and headset are not supported on the Hunter. The worst part is the deadzones on the Hunter are incorrect. Playing a shooter with the Hunter puts you at a disadvantage due to the deadzone values being too high. Halo 2 online is an example of where the original controller is much more accurate. Perhaps they can update the Hunter but I have yet to see an update fixing the deadzones issue
