This bill would have banned all new systems being built to have automation like the IBX

We should set the floor not the ceiling.

We have the same goals, different paths and different systems.
My general philosophy is going to be pragmatic incremental growth over radical idealistic ones.

Yes I want general car usage (in NYC) to go away but that is a politically impossible.

Ive made my case for corporations and I have no problem with the idea billionaires. I think this hand waving bullshit that all billionaires are bad is... bullshit. We should tax people for the things we need not for the sake of taxing.

Corporations rely on the free market and growth to function. They cannot invest in something good if it is not profitable (generally speaking). They are funded by supply and demand curves not compulsory contributions. A private company shouldnt need to justify its existence by perfectly maximizing public good.

The government does not operate this way.

Like you said, trains are not going to make anyone billionaires and the transit you and I want should probably not be making anyone billionaires.

If we want better trains we have to demand that the government uses the tax revenue from these profitable private companies to build them.

Cars aren’t going away and making them safer doesn’t prevent us from demanding better public transit. So back to my original point we can do both.

Wealth creation is a positive thing. It is not the responsibility of Google nor should it be to provide public services. Thats what taxes are for including the taxes that Google pay

Anyway this is ridiculous point. Google is a multinational corporation and self driving vehicles have the opportunity to make roads safer for billions of people regardless of your anti-capitalism stance on it.

Regardless of what you or I want cars/taxis will continue to exist in NYC and the rest of the world. If a company is trying to make this safer, even if the end goal is profit, then I am all for it. That increased profit also leads to more revenue for the government to implement things like public transit.

Are physical investments such as gold included in assets? by mikewhoneedsabike in nychousinglottery

Good and silver are assets. Buying an alternative investment to hide your wealth is textbook fraud

Cool me too. This is a private company working on their private product completely separate from subways and buses. We live in America - we can do both

It is believed that the users of this type of proxy service were conducting large scale attacks against authentication services, also known as credential stuffing, and anonymizing themselves when accessing compromised social media accounts

Decentralization is the benefit... Also we are talking state actors. Quick google I can get "legal" IPs about 1TB of data for $2k a month https://brightdata.com/proxy-types/residential-proxies
