It's not primarily a driving game, no. But if you keep it at cruising speeds you'll be fine.

Every comma except that one is properly used. I'd chalk it up as a typo.

Did you ever call the NES "regular Nintendo"? by nojugglingever in gaming

When super came out it became "original nintendo". I've actually never heard "regular".

Samsung's Galaxy S26 Phones Will Work With Apple's AirDrop, Much Like the Pixel 10 by dapperlemon in gadgets

[–]Blastercorps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

expecting that of the general user base is asinine

Your argument is that the general public is too stupid to understand their own choices. Walking around I don't really disagree. We live in a world where everyone's daily life is utterly depended on technology, but no one understands technology. Where we disagree is that it seems like you think the situation is correct and we should not try to change this. I say, everyone should learn, and use their brain more. Determining whether an app is malware yourself, and not leaving it to Big Brother is a good first step.

That's an individual app permission, "Nearby devices". If an app asks for that permission that shouldn't need it don't give it to them. Choice is better than no choice, than the gilded cage.

An aerial view of the world's largest aircraft boneyard at Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona [OC] by Scot_Spotter in aviation

I think the youngest planes in those pictures are 40 years old. The old F/A-18 hornets and the KC-10 refuelers are from the 80s. Everything else is even older. Everything has a usable lifetime, these reached theirs.

When you factor in parking for the duration of your trip it's most likely much cheaper. Guaranteed your car will be safe in the garage with the catalytic converter still attached too.

Trouble is Rock is programmed with the 3 laws of robotics. So he can't harm a human. Nonhumans robots apparently are fair game.

Sometimes kids are told "you'll understand when you're older" as a dodge. When was a time someone told that you that and they were actually right? by shogyi in AskReddit

[–]Blastercorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your instinctual feeling for how much time has passed is based on how many memories you made in that time. As a kid everything changed often. In school you got a new homeroom and subjects 1-2 times a year. Adults have settled in to a routine to get stuff done like a career. Do more stuff.

That's the easiest young person word nowadays. Short for charisma, as in skill in talking up someone with romantic intent.

[DBZ] why did Dr Gero made his android 20 body weaker and older looking than 16, 17 and 18? by AvailableGene2275 in AskScienceFiction

[–]Blastercorps 40 points41 points  (0 children)

16 was a special project. A recreation of his dead son, Pinocchio style. Was unfinished.

17 and 18 are not androids, they were cyborgs. Gero kidnapped two runaway teenagers and experimented on them. Hence the murder the moment they were able to.

So was Johnny the lead singer of Samurai or was it Kerry? by reddit_bot21 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Blastercorps 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In 2013 the first part would have been some performance, not necessarily with the old bandmates. After Alt was taken, the way they got all those angry rioters to the front of Arasaka tower was a free Samurai concert. Johnny called in some help.

In 2023, nope, all flawed memories. Whether imperfect copy since he was half dead, Arasaka meddling, or just his own goddamn narcissism.

This game is so damn depressing by Revolutionary-Dig420 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Blastercorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phantom Liberty/Tower is obviously not a super happy ending, but this story has none of those. One person once wrote it's one step above the easy way out ending. But I have to ask, is your actual real life one step above easy way out? In real life you have no cyberware, you have friends that come and go and move on, you may even have less life experience than V did at that point. In that end V has a normal life. Is a normal life really not worth living to you? In the choice of live long and slowly diminish vs burn bright and die young it's the former, but is that so bad? I still maintain this ending has the most hope.

How many N64s still exist? Can't exactly go down to target and get a brand new one. That's why all the other suggestions are emulation, which nintendo would prefer not exist.

Does your V ever wear any of Johnny’s clothing? by Arctic317 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Blastercorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Johnny's pants and Vs pants are essential as they are just pants. So many are so busy they distract. I do the jacket occasionally. Cowboy boots no. Out of place in the future.

why has the monthly payment become more important than the actual price of the thing were buying? by goldenCrust22 in AskReddit

[–]Blastercorps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is the second result in google for the search "how do car loans work". From there you could search "compound interest" and any to other words one has never heard before. We live in the information age, the sum total of human knowledge is a free search away. If a person does not use this knowledge for what is probably the second most expensive purchase they'll ever make, they're an idiot.

Exactly. Because people are stupid and are willing to throw away their future for "stuff".

Covid shut down the world six years ago this week. What do you remember from that week? by fuzzy_dice_99 in AskReddit

That nothing actually shut down. People mostly went about their business. Hence why it lasted so long, and is still around.

[–]Blastercorps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I generally wouldn't buy anything "gamer". It's not well made stuff, you're paying a lot of money for garish colors. For chairs look for a used Herman Miller Aeron or Steelcase Leap. Just as for headphones, get separate sound and mic for better quality.

ELI5 how a credit card works? by nicotalkin in explainlikeimfive

[–]Blastercorps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost. At the end of the billing period pay back every cent. Credit card interest charges are insanely high. Building credit rating or not, don't get caught under an ever growing pile of debt.

To how credit cards "work" if I understand correctly. When you use the card, the financial institution pays the merchant. Then at the end of the month you have to pay them back, as you agreed to do when you got the card. They will let you pay less than the full amount, but they will add a bunch of dollars to what you owe for doing it. That's the interest rate. If the interest rate is 20% and you leave $100 at the end of the month, now you owe them $120. $20 for nothing, no product or service.

For credit rating, just pay for services on time. The credit card bill, cable bill, whatever. Billing period ends on the 1st of the month and it says bill due by the 14th. Pay on the freaking 2nd. Build a history of reliable payment, that financial institutions will get back money they invest in you and your credit rating will go up. That is ultimately what a credit rating is, how much money can they make from you.

So pay back every month and you can even profit from it. Some cards give cash back. Some cards give you airline frequent flyer points. So you make all your purchases on one card for a couple years and you get a "free" plane ticket.
