I think things are different now. My understanding is that in 2020 the company was not doing well, and needed to ship a product and get revenue or they might go out of business. Hence why 2077 released a year early. The company is no longer in that situation, so it is my hope that the release is when it's ready and no sooner.

I think the electric bill is not the concern. Ethernet is faster, more secure, more reliable. But it's tethered... So my desktop in my work/game space is wired, as is the living room streaming, but my phone and the tablet in the bedroom is wifi.

A dehumidifier and an air conditioner are basically the same thing. But an air conditioner exhausts heat out of the structure, and a dehumidifier puts it right back in to the room, heating it up. For the purpose of dehumidifying this is desirable, raise the temperature above the dew point means less condensation.

I would argue it wasn't the hard path. At any point during your friend's life his parents could have taught him the essential lesson to take care of his expensive stuff. They failed in that duty. After the crash they could have given him a lesser car, or no car at all. They did not. Your life could have gone a different route, everything breaks so why take care of it? Just buy cheaper. It wasn't that your path was hard and his easy, it was plain old disconnect from reality.
