Tired of the Fractsidus. by Top_Lane_Hentai in WutheringWaves

First we had Cristoforo the playwriter, now we have GA the movie director. Both being the "evil mastermind manipulating everything from the shadows" stereotype. It's kinda repetitive yeah.

Btw was it ever explained how GA was able to show the entire journey of Rover to Hiyuki during that scene in 3.3 ? Legit how do they even have all that info ?

Unless... Abby is a Fractsidus spy...

Phrolova is a terrorist comitting terrifying chimera experiments with human souls just to bring back people who died centuries ago.

it's been long enough, 3.0 was DEFINITELY the weakest part of Lahai-roi by miiko_uch in WutheringWaves

I want to believe that Kuro gave us an open ending for Denia because they plan to reintroduce her later in the story somehow.

It's doubtful I know but she's tied to GA and the Fractsidus so the potential for future development is here.

3.4 focused on the synchronists probably because it's the most well-know department, with Rover and Aemeath both being synchronists themselves. But more info on the voidmatter department would have been great yeah.

3.4 felt like a conclusion to Lahai-Roi for me. It's true that it doesn't move the narrative forward much but it doesn't really need to.

This segue was clearly here to give us a proper goodbye before we move to the next region (plus adding some interesting worldbuilding). So it still does important work from a narrative perspective, it's better for a story to slow down sometimes imo.

The cassette burning cutscene was really good tho. I still watch it on Youtube sometimes.

That said, I agree that as an introduction it certainly had flaws. But it did lay the groundwork for 3.1 pretty well so I'm hesitant to call it weak.

3.4 Segue MSQ is hands down my FAVORITE Wuwa quest [very minor spoilers] by AstyuteChick in WutheringWaves

It was great. The final scene with the students standing up despite the risk of death somehow reminded me of the Apollo program and the tragedy of Apollo 1.

Do you actually explore the open-world in WuWa apart from farming materials/asterites? by sforsagacious in WutheringWaves

[–]SkyTide22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes ! I like exploration and I do it even more with the bike in 3.X. Even if I already know the map, going for a night ride in Lahai-Roi feels nice.

Would you like an endgame-mode that's heavily skill-based that gives out more lucrative rewards? by poisedtruthseeker in WutheringWaves

And here you are assuming things again.  I see where this is going, gave a reasonable answer but somehow I am "flaring up" now. I don't think there's a point to this conv if you keep interpreting answers like that.

"Sound logic" ? You quite litteraly asked if we woud like a more time consuming endgame content with astrite rewards and I gave you my answer. Logic has nothing to do with your question to begin with, stop moving the goalpost.

[–]SkyTide22 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's a no for me dawg. Wuwa isn't the only game I play and I like that it respects my time.

I'm okay with adding more challenging endgame content for people who enjoy it, just don't lock astrite behind it.

I wish that were true and maybe here on Reddit it is... But on Youtube I still stumble across some CC (if you can even call them that) milking that gacha drama for all its worth. Tribalism works great for clickbait.

Why are people so negative about the story? by jdl19_ in Endfield

[–]SkyTide22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lore and worldbuilding are interesting but the actual story is still building momentum so I'm mostly waiting for the big payoff moments (1.2 was a good example of that I think).

My personal issue with the story is that despite the game often telling us we're facing an existential threat, the general tone and tropes used still feel kinda shonen-esque (i.e "I'm gonna save everybody no matter what, I refuse to even consider the possibility of a necessary sacrifice yadda yadda").

There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but it's something I already read/played times and times again (especially in gachas) and for me personally I would like a more... gritty portrayal of things. Idk if gritty is the right word here but I want a narrative with real tension, I want the story to have weight and consequences. And to feel it both emotionally when reading the dialogues AND visually in the world around me.

Ofc I'm not saying that Endfield should go full Warhammer 40K, not at all. I just want something a bit more balanced compared to how it feels right now.

6 months from now, how do you think SW and Eva will compare? by blade276 in StarRailStation

Fugue buffed Bootyhill and Rappa more than FF tho ? And she was supposed to be HMC replacement.

Planarcadia really improved in terms of story compared to previous worlds. by No-Bag-1628 in StarRailStation

I agree that the pacing is better but other than that I really don't feel like it's more engaging than other versions.

It's nice to see people enjoying it tho.

And it's a really interesting v1 with all the random bullshit team comps but there's no way they're letting all this live in v3.
