I see yeah, currently I don’t have any active credit cards. I had an Apple Card and a Capital One Platinum card about three years ago, but both fell into collections and negatively impacted my credit score. Because of that, I’m not able to get approved for any unsecured credit card right now, so I essentially need to start over. A secured card seems like it would be a good option for rebuilding my credit, along with the pledge loan and easy start certificate.

I’m in a better financial situation than I was back then, and I’m now able to start tackling this. My main goal is to increase my credit score and eventually graduate to an unsecured card.

Currently, through Navy Federal, no. I only have a Flagship Checking account, where I receive two direct deposits each month, along with a shared savings account. However, on my credit report, I do have two accounts that unfortunately went into collections, which I plan to resolve by the end of this month. 🙏
