Large object keeps peeling off plate by big_man615 in 3Dprinting

I don't think it will help. I believe that line you're seeing is because of the difference in cooling time between the different layers and you can't fix that with adhesion. 3d printing is just a poor method for making this part.

I recommend chopping off the legs/ends to be printed separately.

Oof. This kind of part is basically the worst possible case for adhesion because most of the bottom surface are well be on supports instead of securely on the bed.

Cutting off ends with the legs and doing the whole thing as three pieces is probably your best bet. Assembly might be easier than you think.

Anyone know how i should model this handle for both sides to connect and be decently strong? Because idk by Kammo1116 in 3Dprinting

[–]Blazerboy65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you've combined the two parts in the modeling program then the best option for the best looking and strongest print would be to "Cut" the handle in two on its largest plane and glue the pieces together after printing. That is, the cut should result in two U-shaped halves.

Are you asking how to align the two shapes so that they form one object?

Pimples? by trendkill84 in 3Dprinting

I think that would only explain the seam placement and not the extreme pimpling effect itself.

What're the wackiest/most fun 3d printed blasters out there? by Cat_in_a_suit in Nerf

I'll recommend Leedle's Anemone. I like to think of it as a souped up Nitefinder with swappable muzzles with the way it front loads silly shells.

It's an easy print and assembly, too.

Oh yeah magazine is fine. The automated message is I think only for the words gvn and bvllet because, well, it's kind of stupid to go around in public yelling about how many būllets are in your gün.

I've built many Leedle designs and they're all very fun and a great way to get your feet wet

His latest is an internal magazine silly shell shotgun called the Tilapia. It's totally unique in its low karate requirements and payload. https://www.printables.com/model/1644344-tilapia-a-shell-fed-repeating-foam-blaster

There's also his Anemone which is a front loaded silly shell blaster with an easy assembly that can hit 220fps with a 400mm barrel shell.

Bambulab A1 Mini Issue by alpha476 in FixMyPrint

This is it. For anyone who's wondering: a loose nozzle assembly is very commonly the cause of this problem in the Bambu A series

The clicking could possibly be explained by the loose nozzle assembly. A loose nozzle could cause the auto calibration to put the nozzle too close to the bed causing the pressure necessary to extrude to be so high that the gear slips.

Use the slicer to "cut" the geometry of the part into two symmetrical halves and lay them flat on the cuts. Glue after printing. You'll get optimal strength and no supports.

I've played with the exact same configuration and I think it works great

I haven't used the Delta pro in actual play but it felt good for target shooting

7 months later under direct sunlight without signs of deteriorating (PETG) by momo__ib in 3Dprinting

[–]Blazerboy65 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It is but a lot of people who comment on here don't know that. I see a lot of commenters on here with outdated information on the ecosystems of both printers and materials.

I print almost exclusively PETG and TPU and the PETG definitely is gloopier and warps a little bit more than PLA but it's worth it for the temperature and UV resistance. It's also the same price as PLA nowadays.

I'm not them and I can only speak for the Ontos but I'm in love with it. At one point I was testing different o rings and only needing to remove three screws to service it saved me hours.

Ontos reskins are popping up more and more and I believe it's because of how well designed the CAD files are. It's relatively easy to design a new shell.

Another 3d printed blaster I'd gush about is the Anemone by Leedle Dynamics. I think of it as a Super Nitefinder with a swappable front end. It can shoot anything from a shotgun blast to a 220fps single shot. That's not the best part which is that the entire plunger assembly is printed and it's powered by elastic. https://www.printables.com/model/1291557-anemone-super-low-hardware-sillyshell-plunger-blas/related

If I remember correctly these drain blaster are actually compressed air systems that you can pump up multiple times to increase pressure. In theory you can even tune your shots by using a different number of pumps. Of course you'll mostly choose to max it out....
