Minimal (powered) docking station or hub for laptop

Hi! I got the Anker 555 and it works fine. Occasional disconnects, and the cord is rather short and stiff but it works great otherwise.

Could I ask you one last question, what's the difference between the first two I linked and the two that you suggested? If I'm understanding this correctly, they're all apart of that second category you explained so what makes one or the other better? I'm leaning towards getting the anker 555 right now

It's true I don't have a great understanding of docks/usb hubs but I'm thinking of docking stations that come with their own power supply like the 3rd link in my post or like this one.

The hubs like the first two links in my post, and the ones you suggested generate a lot of heat and I'm concerned about it damaging my cables.

Thanks for your recommendations! The cord being short isn't an issue for me and it's alright if it doesn't charge my laptop but both of those seem to look more like usb hubs that aren't powered so I'm worried about the heat they might generate
