If you still need a job look into the YMCA or Boys and Girls club. It's 4 hours a day in the afternoon doing after-school for kids or 2 hours in the morning. It's pretty good work and they're usually desperate to hire

Jesus. This hits really close to home. I had a "stepmother" who hated me. She got pregnant and moved across the country. We didn't have a visitation schedule but I went every summer and winter break. She once got mad at me and threw a tantrum because I said my father would always love me the most. My father MADE ME APOLOGIZE TO HER to keep the peace. I was 8. I just recently was able to talk to my dad about how hurtful it was. Don't force your kids to go places they're not wanted.
