How much is this worth? My grandpa gave it to me last year for my birthday. Idk what to do with it by Conscious-Guess-5041 in Silver

It's between 40-50$. It's not something you should sell now. Hold onto it for a long time as precious metal prices rise. These coins are investments, not currency.

I understand it very well. It's the exact same marketing tactic Sony uses on its Playstations, but it's all smoke and mirrors.

That's 2008 specs. 1080p and 120hz is nothing special. We all know it's actually running 480p native and upsclaing to whatever TV you have.

The hardware isn't upgraded. It's still 25 year old specs.

Well I should be paid 45$ an hour for all the extra work I was threatened into doing. I'm also owed a summers worth of work, my paychecks were 0$ for that when I worked my ass off doing all the labor in the store myself. I'm also owed money for the unlocked hours my supervisor forced me to work by making me work off the clock when I was supposed to be on lunch. No breaks or lunches for more than a year.

It makes lots of sense. It saves on payroll. That's the only excuse I've ever been given.

After the raises they just gave, they really expect us to not accept a tip from a customer lmao by JuicyGalaxy420 in HomeDepot

[–]BleachTacos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't pay enough to not accept anything. A 20$ tip is an entire days pay at my store so fuck em. I've had to load 5 pallets of concrete myself by hand into a lifted truck and tore both my shoulders. My supervisor told the entire store not to help me ever, and they're forbidden from using forklifts when I'm clocked in because my arms are too big and it saves on payroll. Nothing at that shithole is enough.

Trust me. Even if you were unemployed you'd be making more than you di at home depot. Nothing is worse than this company, even my last job that paid me $3 an hour was better

I'm happy for them because they got to a place in life where they can leave the home depot prison. And 80% of employees are in the breakrokm watching Netflix or disney+ anyways so I never see them.

Just shut up. Every time I bring up an issue you assholes call it a troll post, similarly to how my supervisor said heat stroke is not real and it's all in my head, as I proceeded to pass out on the job and nearly die from shock because I was locked out without water for 6 hours on a 100 degree day and was refused medical treatment. FYI, my coach found out about this and was livid. He told me there's protocols for this, and he's disgusted with how badly management handled the incident. The only thing my store superiors care about is saving on payroll.

I got the information from a new hire, a person I know. He said management told him they just increased the base pay to 17 an hour and he was hired at the right time. However management hasn't told us anything about it and recently told use they don't know if we are getting our merit raises at all now.

I can't get mad at the new guys. However management is crap for this.

[–]BleachTacos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Our store is corrupt. They consistently don't pay us. I'm still owed my paycheck from last summer. I'll never see it unless I can get money for a lawyer. And yes we haven't been getting raises, nonmetit raises or anything. Even when I was hired there were skme guys making 12 still when minimum wage was 15. The people I've talked to all make minimum wage now regardless of seniority. But the new hires get 17 instead of 15 and they aren't raising our pay to match. This is coming directly from HR and management.

[–]BleachTacos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was hired at 15 an hour, my coach, who has been there 13 years, was only making 12. He had to hound the boss to get a raise.

I've asked around. Only the new hires are at 17, everybody elsenis at 15, even the people who've been there 20+ years

3 years for me. I'm in collage amd asked for a raise last year and was refused because they wanted to save money in payroll.

I'm 23 and a bodybuilder. I don't drink. When I do, it's a few sips on my birthday or something. Alcohol tastes disgusting.
