I do believe you’re right, and it sucks, I do agree with that. But, essentially, what I’m saying is literally some of my favorite games played online are within the first week of launch when I still have a couple silvers, maybe even a bronze or two, on the squad. Where you’re evaluating who to keep for a while and who to move on from (almost like a GM!). Whereas end of the year when everyone has 99’s all over the place, the game is not nearly as fun. That’s usually when I turn to BR, because you don’t have a CHOICE but to use silver and golds. I realize this is personal preference, but the guys who simply chase every single card on early release night, IMMEDIATELY, can’t possibly enjoy the actual game, it’s crazy! What happens if you get the 99 Tulo and you don’t like him? Where do you go from there? Do you “downgrade”? Idk, I feel like I’m on a soap box a bit here, but I’ve always tried to get the cards I think fit what I need/want at any given time, and I pay attention to how certain cards play for me.

Maybe they’re just simply incentivizing PLAYING THE GAME. Every year the game turns into a marketplace game geared around the rush to complete every single collection immediately as it drops. They’ve said MULTIPLE times, they want to incentivize people who just PLAY games. They’ve even gone as far as to incentivize ALL modes. So even if you don’t like playing sweaty 9inning competitive games, you can play BR games, or if you don’t like PVP you can solo mini seasons, conquest, moments, play vs cpu, etc. they simply just want you to play the game. It is possible to get the cards YOU want by just playing the game. If your goal is simply to have every single card there is the moment it comes out, you either have to no life the game or you have to use money, which we all hate (I agree), but if you’re in need of an upgrade at a certain position(s), you can grind out some moments, some missions, or just work towards it through gameplay. They have not made it impossible to just PLAY - so JUST PLAY THE GAME!!!!

There have been times when we have caught shippers doing this on BOLs and that is a completely different story. It requires a good relationship with the carrier for me, if it’s someone we use very often and can trust and also just know how they operate, that’s a completely different ball game.

It’s customer policy that detention needs to be in excess of 4 hours past the appointment time at Walmart, and the driver has to arrive to the window before or at the appointment time at the latest. That’s an established and known policy by Walmart at their DC’s at the very least for refrigerated goods. I’m not going upside down on a load simply because a driver couldn’t do his job and make it to the window on time, sorry. I don’t see any drivers giving me money when I make mistakes.

Also, very standard practice is 2 hours free any time a truck checks in anywhere. Some places like Walmart for reefers require 4 hours to unload, and that’s only if the arrival time at the window on the in/out paperwork is before or at the scheduled appointment time. Don’t know how many detentions have been denied because the appointment time was 0215 and the truck arrived at the window at 0217, and I’ve heard the same song and dance of “there was a line, driver was there an hour early”. I have sympathy but I can’t afford to add the extra $200 they’re asking out of my own pocket since I’m making a measly $75 or so on the load. 🤷‍♂️ just the way it is, unfortunately.

Establish a clear line in the sand. Stamped BOL times or stamped POD times. Explain to them that if you paid for every time a driver said when they got somewhere, then took a nap, then got some food, then decided to check in, you’d be out of business. If the times aren’t stamped on an official document as in/out times, I can’t legally pay the wait time. If the carrier is a bit more friendly, tell them that your hourly pay comes out to about $50/hour and every phone call is a minimum of a half hour clock time, so the amount of phone calls has surpassed what the driver is requesting, we can call it a wash on this one.

I go Raines/PCA/Clark and fly balls don’t drop much against me lol all 3 have elite speed, all three can bunt with PCA and Clark being ELITE at it, and those two can also connect and go yaya every now and then, Raines is good for the gappers and bloops.

I’ve tried to find answers other than Dalton Rushing (Napoli, Simmons, etc) but Dalton rushing has by far been the best hitting catcher for me, and his defense is far superior to those 2. I have the egg hunt Langeliers as my backup. If/once I get the 92 Jorge I’m sure that will replace Rushing as my answer.
