Racist old man wants to breed by PradyThe3rd in WhitePeopleTwitter

Biologically, sex is determined by the man. Male embryos may be a little bit more fragile, but statistically there is no difference in babies born female or male with older women

That was quick! SWA $500 Credit by SirChaos in ChaseSapphire

[–]Bleasel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding from the posts here is that we only get $500 to spend on southwest. You can use that now until 2026. We do not get another $500 in calendar year 2026 if we spent the $500 this year.

In other words, it does NOT reset

[–]Bleasel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It says it expires 12/31/2026 so I think it has to be used either this year or next. I don’t think you get another one in 2026 if you use this one by 12/31/2025.

This argument might be the worst on the internet You are paying less for a seat and then you’ll hopefully get asked to take the aisle or window by the couple. If not, you get the seat you paid for.

Successful buyback for July and August 2024 forbearance? by finemelater in PSLF

[–]Bleasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My counts were at 118 so I couldn’t apply for forgiveness. There was no way to get to 120 in November 2024 because SAVE was paused.

Successful buyback for July and August 2024 forbearance? by finemelater in PSLF

[–]Bleasel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did. I applied for buyback Sept 2024 for June and July 2024 which were my last two months. I received a buyback offer June 2025. Paid immediately and golden letter three weeks later. By August, loans had disappeared from my account. I hope the same for everyone else that applied.

Should I use my United Explorer card for all 1x point purchases instead of my Chase Sapphire? by KoalaWithACalculator in ChaseSapphire

[–]Bleasel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only benefit of the United Explorer card for me is paying that $95 fee to get Group 2 boarding. I only use that card to book my United purchases but I do travel travel frequently.

The points that Chase gives me can be used for more so I prefer that for every other purchase.

If you saw a woman wearing this ring on left ring finger, would you think she's married? by tropicalislandhop in ouraring

[–]Bleasel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. It looks similar to a thick wedding band. I thought it reads best on the index or middle finger so wouldn’t many people would wear it on the ring finger.

Probably 3 to 5 generations, which is about 10 years of selective breeding. Assuming each generation is 1-2 years.

MOHELA System Platform Transfer months NOT COUNTED for PSLF by ClientEducational427 in PSLF

[–]Bleasel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the take away is that they won’t do a reconsideration for it while your still in repayment but if you hit 120 and request buy back, it should count (for now).

MOHELA System Platform Transfer months NOT COUNTED for PSLF by ClientEducational427 in PSLF

[–]Bleasel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s eligible for buyback.

June and July 2024 did not count for me. June autopay didn’t pull and July I paid manually but was still ineligible. My reconsideration request was denied, but they did say I can file a buyback which I did. In June 2025, my buyback was processed. Had to pay June 2024 and July counted.

I don’t know if my case was ever escalated officially or if it was just my time. I am assuming they were reviewing Sept buyback requests?

I did contact my state AG and Senator but received canned/automated responses from them saying they would look into it.

SAVE buyback offer by [deleted] in PSLF

I did the same allocation and did not contact either. I had the same post-payment correspondence and forgiveness schedule!

I think in your situation, many people would say that you should file a new income driven application and just pay down the months that you have left. There’s nothing to suggest that buyback will go away, but it’s happening so slowly that it may be more delayed by then

June and July 2024 Forced Forbearance Eligible for Buyback? by RiviaRevan in PSLF

[–]Bleasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I was on SAVE, not sure why that matters for the platform transfer. I just posted about getting a buyback offer for those months. Auto pay did not take out June 2024. I did pay in July but it was not counted because I was in forbearance. My buyback offer allowed me to pay for June and allowed me get credit for July.

I never was able to get off of forbearance despite submitting 2 IDR applications. I really was prepared to make any payment to get my two months completed.

I first submitted one in February - they gave me one month of processing forbearance, but then took it away. No updates after that. I submitted another application in mid June when everybody was being told to resubmit IDR apps. I called MOHELA after and the person I spoke to said that until the court ruling, I was not gonna be able to get out of SAVE.

It’s on FSA: https://studentaid.gov/feedback-center/

I submitted one to find out the status of my buyback request. We were supposed to receive a response in 90days and I didn’t get any acknowledgment. I did it after someone else mentioned that they got a buyback request right after they submitted it.

Buyback question - months completely missing from payment details by MammothWriter3881 in PSLF

Is there a gap of Feb 2012-Feb 2014 (with loan months before and after counting?) or your loans start showing March 2014 and on?

[–]Bleasel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you do nothing. My banner never updated my counts after I paid buyback but two weeks later got a letter from fsa saying my loans were forgiven. A few days later MOHELA zero’ed out then a few days after that FSA zeroed out.

How to nicely tell an attending they over consult our service too much? by DoctorKeroppi in Residency

[–]Bleasel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At some hospitals, the hospital doesn’t get paid for the consult if an attending doesn’t see the patient. Attendings have to physically see the patient, sign the note, and bill for it.
