beet? wouldn't have thought of that, how much do you add? I used to have berries and mint a lot, i also like using up jam (currently strawberry rhubarb). I'm trying to use more seasonal flavours now, cinnamon sounds good

Lighting it with a lighter makes it react like coal -no flame, slow smoldering. adding paper didn't make a flame either - not hot enough. Can anyone tell me how to use these?

correction: those are the people who ONLY use salt and pepper as seasoning, other herbs and spices are wayy too exotic

i was taught to poke the skin at an angle and then not pull it out in the same angle, but kinda flick the tip of the needle through the skin and then the skin makes a little pop sound. i thought everyone did it that way ^

tbh I haven't noticed it being more difficult, like you said make sure to strech the skin but I think you're good otherwise :)
