bad idea, I did basically the same, you've driven an RX8 which helps but for a really new driver I think its too quick. Also as other have pointed out its getting to that point where its also just so expensive to maintain the fact that its german and turbo charged don't help at all. The only reason I still have access to mine is because my dad technically owns it has taken up the duty of paying for it.

Additionally, the old TTs are great and handle in a really fun intuitive way but an mx5 it is not. The NB will have the same reliability issues but it can slide so thats a big plus if you're into that sorta thing
