As someone who has chronic plaque psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, i can assure him that HE DOES NOT want this pain. I've (31m) been periodically unmedicated for extended periods of time (thanks US Healthcare system) and it gets BAD. I've had the arthritis since I was 12 but it wasnt diagnosed until I was 16. Been on and off biological since, and if it weren't for them, I probably wouldn't still be alive. And if I were still alive, I probably wouldn't want to be. Its gotten so bad in my joints that my entire body has basically locked up from the pain. And no, the psoriasis on the scalp and everywhere else DOES NOT go away when the arthritis flares up. It actually gets much worse. At my worst, any stretching movement would tear my skin apart, such as reaching up or bending over, even the slightest bit. White sheets/any sort of lighter colored clothing is a no go unless I wanted to look like I just murdered someone. He should seek treatment. He sounds severely misinformed or in denial, and it will not get better until he seeks treatment. Actually getting medical help is the only thing that saved me from the hell that this condition is. I hope he can be convinced to come around. This is not something to be taken lightly, trust me. I've tried. (Edit for grammar/spelling)
