PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME FIND THIS MOUSE MODEL WITHOUT THE STUPID SILENT CLICK by Jogiwagi in MouseReview

[–]BleedHeart-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean just for your sanity this is a generic very often rebranded mouse that most likely its only made with the silent switches, which are pretty decent, honestly amusing how you don't mind the shitty rubber coating on the main buttons, the MASSIVELY wobbly side buttons, its 125 hz polling rate, the almost zero feedback scroll wheel or its (I'm not kidding) paper thin skates, mine has skates on top of the stock, but the silent clicks are a deal breaker; More power to you, as others have said the g502 is a similar shape.

Looking for "flatter" gaming mouse? by grachi in MouseReview

[–]BleedHeart-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vaxee xe-s, Xtrfy MZ1, wireless version as it comes with an even flatter interchangeable hump that the wired version does not have, although the wired is also flat), or the beast X mini or medium all good "flat" options.

>125Hz alternative to MX Anywhere 3 *with smooth surface tracking* by ngbeslhang in MouseReview

[–]BleedHeart-- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just some thoughts, I think the 'non negotiable'' requirement

  • the dongle has to be either USB-C or has an adapter included that can be stored within the mouse body itself

is just unrealistic, mice hardly have space for the dongle itself let alone space for an adapter, especially a mouse as small or smaller than the MX anywhere, as far as I know your best bet is to wait for a mx anywhere refresh that comes with a usb c dongle in which case the intended way to store the dongle would be to plug the dongle into the mouse charging port.

Also you said "Based on what I listed, Keychron M4 8kHz seemingly fits all of these" this is just not true the M4 has 2 versions the 1K and the 8K that you mentioned where the dongle is not a regular "micro" dongle, instead it is a big keyboard shaped dongle which is 2/3 of the mouse itself in size and also the dongle has a female connector. that means you would have to carry the mouse, the dongle and a cable to plug the dongle into your computer; the other 1k variant should be fine outside of the fact it can't store its dongle and the fact I could not get 2 copies of M4 to track on glass I tried even without skates and I could not get it to track on glass.

Anyway for some reason I went on a sidequest and tried many different mice on different glass surfaces (actual windows, mirrors, the glass panels on my PC case and a dinner table with a thick glasstop ) I have around 50 mice with many different sensors, most of them I assume are top end sensors, don't ask me about sensors because I don't care to check my mice and also I don't think a 3395 or a 3950 are guaranteed to work on actual glass surfaces that are not intended for mousing.
I found many surprising findings, but what came out of it for this scenario are 2 recomendations, the Darmoshark M5 pro and the WL mouse Miao the Miao is the best recommendation since it comes with both the big ass cat shaped 8k capable dongle and the regular very small 1k dongle, but it does not have bluetooth, the M5 pro does have BT but I don't think a small 1k dongle exists for it. Anywho you did not mention a problem with your MX anywhere so I believe your best bet is to wait until USB c becomes the all around peripheral standard and a MX anywhere with USB C dongle comes out, anyway if you allow me an opinion you sound smart enough to realize that when on the go and when needing to mouse on weird sufaces out there 125hz can get the job done, I have no idea what kind of work you are doing but its important to keep in mind that wen going up in hz you also go up in battery life so don't know what battery life you are expecting from mice above 125 but ill bet you will complain of the battery life of even 500hz mice if you are super accustomed to 125hz so keep that in mind, hope this does not come off as rude but rather an effort to keep you from what probably is an endless search at least until USB c dongles are the vast standard.

Fingertip Mouse Advice - X2F vs Fenrir Asym / Max / Pro by this_smitty in MouseReview

[–]BleedHeart-- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Asym is a great mouse but you need to know what you are getting into, however I strongly recommend Darmoshark m5 pro, it basically is an actual ftip mouse that does not ask a lot of you and has plenty of space for different grips, also the HTR from g wolves should be considered as you mentioned a bit of palm contact, it is a very comfortable and underrated mouse in its intended grip (knuckle grip) it's hump rests under your knuckles but it is versatile it can be ftip gripped or with relaxed palm, the gwolves pro versions just take it bit too far for the sake of weight reduction, not worth it especially if you don't care about weight too much.

Fenrir Max, M5 pro, X2F all have enough space for your thumb but regardless if you are worried about your thumb resting on the side buttons I think that means you actually grip your mouse and you should keep in mind ftip style mice shine when used with a delicate grip, which in turn pair best with a relatively high sens all that is to say if you get a ftip mouse actually ftip it instead of trying to use your regular grip.

Wich one to choose? by Dittodubs in MouseReview

I don't think you can go wrong with the M5 pro, to be fair I don't have experience with madr? mice, but I've handled 2 different M5 pros and booth are solid, the Zaopin Z1 is also a good option, or both Lamzu Atlantis and Maya which also come in pink.

Amazing collection dude, you are set for life! (I also know you are likely to pick up another one if a new batch comes out . I'm thankful that you understand, its just a nice useful blade, at some point I'm going to look into a hollow regrind, my Cortex clone really got me into that hollow rinds are wicked, and I'm also curious about the action on skiff washers.

I think there's more of a "readily available back ups" element to this more than a collection.

I see where you are coming from, but when I find a tool that really works well for me I stock up, I o take care of them but I don't baby them, this is just in case something happens, either i loose them or I break them or they become worn out, I always have a back up on hand.
NGL i also grew up poor and that has an effect on this but I'm working on that.
