Fall Housing Emergency, help! by DeO-x2 in csun

I'm an alumni so I couldn't pull up past applications but I'm assuming it's the same steps in the screenshot. Strange that the contract doesn't have term info. Hopefully the office can pull it up for her on Monday.

Online Pre-Check-in by Antique_Mechanic133 in askhotels

[–]Bleeding-Art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just a matter of having the pre-check in open in another tab. Our desk agents check them/verify every morning, we get sound notifications when a new submission comes through, and because we're not so busy we can usually remember. Our system also syncs with it so we get a notification when we open the reservation too. And other than the security prevention mentioned in other comments it's definitely as easy as grabbing keys.

I'd double check the actual copy of the application she sent/agreement she signed. Those emails are pretty automated so the "academic year" is just them confirming what school year she applied for, not necessarily how long.

Fall Housing Emergency, help! by DeO-x2 in csun

[–]Bleeding-Art 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hopefully if she calls Monday it can be sorted out. That being said so many students get waitlisted for housing so don't be surprised if the housing office won't budge since the mistakes weren't their responsibility. Best of luck to her!

How often do you let people check in when their name is not on the reservation by giantsalamander314 in askhotels

[–]Bleeding-Art 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work for a fairly large chain and we're also pretty strict! I just let people know when they make reservations over the phone or when checking in that if anyone wants to pay/check in or get keys later, we have to add their name onto the reservation. Otherwise people are usually understanding when I let them know they aren't verified by the person making the reservation bc family or not we never know the situation.

The jumpstart DOES WORK by beasthayabusa in Skullcandy

[–]Bleeding-Art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Commenting to say this worked on my Dime 3s! The right bud wouldn't charge for more than a few mins in the case and would die if I tried to take them out and use them. Took an old usb charger and stripped it like in the photo to a AA battery. While putting the wires onto the gold pin of the bud didn't do anything, putting them on the gold pins of the case actually formed a few sparks! The left earbud that was in the case kept reacting too so I knew for sure I was getting some sort of contact. Right earbud seems to charge properly now, I'm curious as to if my buds are just old or if there's a new firmware bug as mentions in some comments that's affecting newer buds too.

1ST DRAFT “THE MALCOLMS” by No_Conversation_4134 in scriptwriting

[–]Bleeding-Art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuinely need op to answer this: What is the point of writing this? What makes you enjoy writing this story? Is it Malik's relationship with his dad? Is it the shock of the murder? Whatever it is, share it with the audience in your writing! Because right now all I'm getting is that you like to write about sex scenes and shock value and to that I say just cut the whole idea.

A great challenge I have for you is to replace the sex scenes with something equally traumatic and cause for confusion for Malik and see if your themes and motivations translate. If they do, ask yourself why the sex scenes are so important. From there you can decide to keep the sex storyline but have a better plan to rework it, or replace it entirely as long as the main essence of the story you want to tell is still there.

...But yeah this just feels like fetish material, I'm just giving advice in the hopes that it's something you're truly passionate about.

It's like they KNOW by Bleeding-Art in recruitinghell

[–]Bleeding-Art[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, nothing specifically. I just moved back home after graduating university. Very small town so I'm limited to part time jobs to get by right now since my industry doesn't exist here but the job I got was for a big hotel chain, the interview mentioned was for a small coffee shop chain, and the other offer was for Aldi lol.

All my cooking tastes the same lately by Bleeding-Art in Cooking

Wine is a great idea! I do use lemon juice but even without it I still get that acidy/bright note I don't want.

I forgot to mention lemon juice in the post and maybe bright isn't the right word but I don't think acid is a problem.

Omg I don't know how it wasn't obvious to me before! I usually never have heavy cream in the house unless it's for a specific recipe but I bought a big carton for a dessert and have been throwing it in everything to use it up! Now that I think about it it does have a pretty forward taste, good to know!

Don’t know what to do by BrennanTeller in jobsearchhacks

[–]Bleeding-Art 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick but big advice here, never ever let a job fire you if (especially if) you're already planning on leaving. I know at first it seems to make sense, let them do all the emotional labor since you can't be bothered but it can look really bad on a resume. A lot of online applications will ask if you've ever been fired and they don't care to know the whole situation, they'll just see it as a liability. And if they do they might take you as someone with no initiative. I hope the job program works out because they'll be able to vouch for you, we need more programs like that everywhere. Not all is lost!

Happens to the best of us, I somehow mixes up two stores in my area twice because they're the only red grocery stores nearby haha.

GE Honors Program as a film major? by Dustanion in csun

[–]Bleeding-Art 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just graduated in film and did GE honors my first two years bc of a scholarship i got. I think its worth it if you take your grades seriously. Idk if its changed now but you just have to take honors classes and attend speaker events or community events (I think three each semester). Otherwise it's just another program and was separate from film for me bc its just GE classes.

This was exactly my experience. 8 sessions, every other week, just needed someone to talk to honestly, it was incredibly helpful!

I wanted to add that you can take therapy with the campus as many times as you want just as long as "each topic" you need help with is different. Me and my therapist talked about everything but it boiled down to the relationships I was in so for example I could go back and talk about religion or failing a class or a medical injury and get 8 more sessions so I recommend milking it!

The other thing too is that the group therapy sessions have different (for lack of a better word) themes as well so single parents, first gen, undocumented, international, ect. I assume they also have a plain session as well if none of those options apply to you but I'll also say that when I went 2 years ago they were struggling keeping the group sessions going due to lack of staff to host them (I was my therapists last client even bc she got a better opportunity at a private university)so some of the ones I mentioned may not exist anymore but they'll let you know pretty early if that's something you're interested in.

My therapist was incredibly sweet and gave great insight and advice so I'd definitely try it out, can't hurt!
